Sonic was holding a big Pikachu plush that Zero had won for him at the carnival, the were still wearing each other's jackets, walking beside each other. Zero didn't seem mind the hateful looks that every Mobian gave him when he walked by. He knew that he couldn't be forgiven for his actions...he murdered a lot of innocent mobians just because he was following orders from Dr. Eggman, and the phantom ruby, but that week...the week when was supposed to torture Sonic, he just saw something in him. No, he felt something when was looking at him. And he just felt compelled to protect him...those five months he got closer to Sonic, in his life he never felt love before, not even in his own squad before Shadow murdered them all.
Now, he can finally be himself...with no influence from the ruby, a chance to finally Sonic a good time, that didn't involve his illusions, though he still had the ruby's influence inside him, the gem had infused itself into his DNA giving me those powers naturally, but it was weak, to the point that he didn't use it often, he wanted the world to see him as not some monster, and wanted Sonic to love him as Zero...not Infinite.
That's why he wanted everything to be perfect. He lets out a soft sigh, it was late at night when the two had decided to leave the carnival. He was already prepared to be yelled at by Sonic's adopted brother.
"A-Amy?" Sonic called out, the jackal looked at the pink hedgehog with the purple arm band on her arm, the Alpha only rolled his mixed eyes.
"There you are Sonic!! We were so worried about you" Amy said pulling Sonic into a hug, making the jackal growl a little. "He is perfectly fine Pinkie...I wasn't going to hurt him" Zero retorted
"I don't think I was talking to you..." She opened the door and pushed Sonic inside. "Am-" the door was shut on his face, the Omega let out a growl.
"I'm sorry Sonic...I tried to stop her..." Tails responded, the hedgehog turned to his best friend, "But did you have fun?"
"You bet I did!...when you get to know him better...I can see why Chaos chose us together, He needed someone to see him more than just this Ultimate Assassin and I just needed someone that isn't Amy" Sonic said as he let out a soft sigh, "When Zero comes in...tell him I'm in my room, my head still hurts...from that Drop Tower ride..." the blue hedgehog mutter Tails only chuckles and nodded, as he watched the cobalt hedgehog disappear up the stairs.
"UGH!!" Amy huffed, when Zero just ignores her, heading upstairs to take care of Sonic. "I hate him!!" Tails only rolled his eyes as he just lets out a sigh "You and Sonic didn't even have a spark"
"It just means that I hadn't matured enough..." Amy said.
"Amy...Your seventeen, he's Twenty" Tails called out to the pink hedgehog, who wasn't listening she just sighs lovingly "Only one more year...and I can be legal"
Tails looks at her in disgust, "Amy go home..."
"Ugh Fine, but I'm coming back tomorrow, Infinite better not be here when I come over this morning" Amy said as she walks to the door and walking out of the house, Tails shakes his head, he knew that Sonic wouldn't be happy with Amy, he found his soulmate, he just wished he could help Amy find hers then maybe she can leave his brother alone.
