Secret Soulmate

Sonic was wearing his black shirt, and red plaid jacket with a gray hood, worn out baggy jeans, he didn't look the same after he's been discharged from the hospital, he was just sitting on the couch, he was just holding the stuff bear that had his kiton's heartbeat in it, he was just sitting on the floor in nursery, he spent a lot of time in here since he got home, Zero took care of all the calls from Rouge and Tails, since Sonic was grieving and not in the mental state to deal with his self-adopted-brother and Mother. His eyes were puffy from him balling his eyes out, and his arms covered in new cuts, Zero had stopped him a few times from harming himself, he was grieving to, after Rouge showed him a picture of the kiton...that would have been a jackal like himself, he didn't want make his soulmate suffer so he took care of the burial, for the kiton.

The Doctors gave the hedgehog, his anti-depression medication, just with a higher dosage, as well as antibiotics. The blue hedgehog, sniffs, he hadn't really let go of the stuffed bear with his baby's heartbeat, he held as if it was his own stuffed toy.

Sonic flinches when the light was turned on in the nursery, the room was painted in a nice deep purple color, with a galaxy theme like aesthetic, with a brown wood changing table, and crib to match, a solar system wind chime that played a lullaby when it turned on, fun pictures of animals where space suits floating in space, a shooting star night light, and a deep purple rug, that Sonic was laying on.

"There you are..." Zero said as he lets out a sigh, he walks over to Sonic. "I know you miss him...I do too, but you can't stay in this room..."

Sonic didn't respond, he went back to his "No Talking" stated, but Zero knew what Sonic wanted just by his facial expression's and hand gestures. "But...I promise...whenever your ready, we can try again..." Zero said taking a hold of Sonic's hand "I'm not going to let your heard work go to waste..."

Sonic just pinned his ears down, as tears started to form in the corner of his eyes. He just rests his head on Zero's shoulder. "This isn't your fault...nor is it mine, sometimes stuff just happens..." he ran his thumb over Sonic's cheek to wipe the tears away. "So will you let me take you to bed?...I miss holding you in my arms..."

Sonic looked at the clock that was hanging on the wall that the only Kirby theme thing in this room, a black clock with Kirby riding a wrap star in the background, of the galaxy sky. It was twelve am in the morning. He held his arms up to be picked up. "Your legs are numb again?" Zero said, Sonic only looks away, the jackal only gave the blue hedgehog a soft kiss on the lips before scooping him up in his arms, the hedgehog just help the bear tight to his chest. Zero shuts the lights off in the nursery closing the door, he always had the room locked...for reasons but seeing how Sonic somehow picks the lock he just left it be.

Sonic felt warm in his fiancée's arms, his didn't mind his soulmates being topless, or taking care of his calls he was grieving and still is, even if it's been a month since he lost his kit. When he was place in the bed, he looked at the stuff bear, as soft as it is he knew he was gonna have to let go, he gives the bear a small kiss on the cheek, and places it on the nightstand, he rolls over to face Zero, and snuggle into the jackal. Who just pulled the blue hedgehog closer to him.
