Austin, Cris and I were in my room on my PlayStation for a good thirty minutes just talking and eating snacks when we got the chance. I slammed my controller annoyed that I got shot for like the third time.
"I don't know man ever since you and Jayde started dating you lost your spark" Cris said amused as I heard a laugh from Austin slip out. When me and Jayde started dating we both came to the agreement how we would try and not to let people know
I stared at them and said
"Like I said yesterday and the day before that" "We're just friends" I looked to see them saying it with"Very funny" I said they laughed trying to focus
"Are you joking y'all look at each other like you're each other's world" Austin said
"Right and I mean it's not like we're Coach we would never snitch" Cris added putting his controller down looking at me from across the room sitting up from a beanbag
As Austin watched him do that and turned around to look at me. Some how this turned into a therapy session.
"What?" I asked them because they looked at me as if they were going to cry
"Are you dating Jayde?" Austin said concerned
"Yesss" I said annoyed and threw my head back
"My boy in love" Cris said teasing me as I just pulled out my phone
Wifeyyy🤍💍
I told Austin and Cris about
Us sorry😬Omggg 🤦🏾♀️
how'd they handle it?😭😭Alright they just can't get over it
Nora already found out
WHAT WHEN⁉️😭
Like a hour ago but she's still talking about it because she found a picture of us
Oh gosh should I ask what picture
Out of all the pictures 😭😭
Frrr.
After his friends left his mind filled with boredom then his room filled with it also. But soon his dissatisfaction was put to a end.
Seeing Jayde's name appear on his screen and a smirk appeared on his face
"Hey Logan" A happy tone of Jayde voice filled his speakers
"What's up" he responded
"I'm lowkey kinda stressed" She admitted
"What's wrong" he asked concerned
"So like you know how we just started dating right"
"Yeah?"
"Well I just realized this is my first game now that we're a couple and I can't find anything to wear" she said setting up her camera looking throughout her entire closet
"Why don't you just wear my jersey"
"Are you crazy!? My father is gonna be there along with coach Dawson. Who literally just gave you a warning. YESTERDAY!" Logan knew Jayde was dramatic but not this dramatic to the point where his phone speaker were blasting with jade voice.
"Calm down you little firecracker. And who said I could care" I said a little bit upset about the whole private relationship thing
"I care I don't wanna get my phone taken away."
"Oh my gosh you're seriously worried about a phone"
"Yes!" she wined back
"What do you think you're mom would say about us?" I asked in a calm tone
"Mhmm I dunno probably happy that I don't care about my dad's rule and following something in me"Jayde's mom was actually really nicer than most people would expect Logan wished he could say the same for his mom
"You know how care free she is" In Logan's eyes Jayde's mom was a hippie. And could never understand how she was with someone so serious like Coach Carter.
"Yeah I can't say the same" a small laugh came from Logan but Jayde saw straight through and could tell how forced it was
"How is your mom?" Jayde asked wondering why she never heard about her
"I don't know I barely get the time to talk to her because either she's working with the patients or at home drinking"Logan's mind went blank just at the thought of her. She was a nurse at the only hospital in Huntsville and barely saw her because of her hours
"Sometimes I think if nobody spoke about her... she would just be a stranger" A long pause filled
"You shouldn't say stuff like that Logan I know she loves you"
"Not like how she used to" a feeling of grief went over Logan's shoulders even though he hadn't lost his mother. He lost a part of her. He knew it was from his father when he left them three. He took the loving, playful and compassionate Mom he knew and longed for away while leaving an.
Isolated. Overwhelmed. Fragile. And eventually a empty woman who he never knew
Soon Jayde felt guilty as she saw Logan's head filled with negative thoughts and she knew she wanted to fix it but didn't know the right words.
So she tried to compare their situations"You know my dad isn't the same anymore instead he's forgotten about me and only worried about the team's future instead of mine"Jayde started fidgeting with her fingers
"And if he does talk to us here at home he only starts arguments with my mom. I hope they don't divorce"Logan's eyes got wide at his girlfriend's statement
"I'm sure they won't it's usually unexpected"Logan said as a slight giggle came from Jayde
"It's funny how I called about an outfit now look at us"
"I'm glad I can talk about this with you. I hope we won't go through this again with our future selves"Logan said he had always dreamed about a future with Jayde but he never thought about if it was terrible like his parents
"Will never be like that Logan"Jayde said but Logan felt nothing once again.
