Sonic is driving Rachel's beat-up car very dangerously through the streets of San Francisco."Coming through! Whoa, now, this is my turn, and I go around him!" He said as he cuts off a car "Sorry! And, perfect park!" He parks the car lopsidedly at the curb."What are you, crazy?!" A driver yelled. Tom gets out of the car."Is there anything you didn't hit?" He asked."Why did we let the alien drive?" Maddie said helping Stormi out of the car and closing the door behind her. "Hey, I got us here." Sonic said points to himself. "And please, five stars." He holds up five fingers.Sonic, Tom, Stormi, and Maddie stare at the towering Transamerica building. "So, this is it?" Sonic asked. "That's it. That's your pyramid." Tom answered."Wow, look at that thing!" Stormi exclaimed.

"What happens now?" Maddie asked. Sonic speeds away."Oh! He's... gone." Maddie said."Yep." Tom and Stormi both said. Sonic returns to them."No good. You need a special key to get to the roof." He explained. "What now?" Maddie asked. "Time for me to abuse the power entrusted to me." Tom said. Maddie looked at him confused.

Transamerica reception

Tom and Maddie walk to the reception desk, with Tom carrying Sonic in a duffle bag and Maddie carrying Stormi in a small backpack.(She could fit in there surprisingly.)Tom and Maddie nod at each other as they approach the front desk.

"We got a jumper on the roof. Gotta get up there fast or we're gonna have a human pancake on our hands." Tom said as he shows his badge. "You came all the way from Montana." The receptionist said. "Yeah. That's how serious it is." Tom said. They all paused and looked at each other until the receptionist hands Tom the key. "Okay." The receptionist said.Tom takes the key.

"You just saved a life." Tom said. Him and Maddie walked to the elevator. Maddie presses the up button. They both wait.A businessman and a businesswoman stand next to them also waiting for the elevator."How much longer? I can't breathe in here! Hello? Anybody there?" Sonic asked from the duffle bag. "Do you have your child in that bag?" The businesswoman asked.

"No. I mean, yes, it's a child, but it's not mine." Tom answered."It's not your child?" The businessman asked."Relax. I'm a cop, okay? Plus, he likes it in there, don't you, buddy?" Tom asked Sonic. He shakes the bag a little. "Why would I like it in here? This is worse than the dog cage you had me in earlier!" Sonic said. "Such a kidder." Tom laughs.Maddie laughs with him as she closes the zipper. "Okay." She said. "No, I'm scared of the dark!"The businessman and businesswoman slowly moved away."Is anybody there?" Sonic asked.

Tom, Maddie, Stormi, and Sonic get to the roof of the Transamerica building and they let Sonic out of the duffle bag, who is coughing and gagging and wearing a pair of underwear on his head. "Ugh! What were you keeping in this bag? A jar of pickled farts?!" Sonic yelled out taking the underwear off his head and stuffs it back into the bag. Maddie kneeled down and let Stormi out of her backpack. "All right, all right. What are we looking for?" Tom asked. Sonic sees his Ring satchel and retrieves it and runs back to Tom and Maddie, holding a ring. "This." Sonic said.

"Okay. What happens now?" Maddie asked. "Now, all I have to do is think of where I want the other end of the ring to appear, and I throw it." Sonic explained."So, that's it? We did it?" Tom asked."Yeah! We did it!" Sonic exclaimed."Hey, sorry we didn't get to do everything on your bucket list, pal." Tom said. "It's okay. I did the ones I needed the most." Sonic said as he ruffles Stormi's hair. "You two are so cute." Maddie said.
