Anon: I was wondering how the collector and his grand huntsman persona would treat a partner/playmate who has a service dog.
The Collector
〄 Dogs are a energetic and eager species! So The Collector is elated to learn that you have one! Though he might have some difficulty with understanding and accepting the fact that a service dog is different from normal ones. You'll have to explain to them that there are times where your precious little companion is 'on-duty', or in other words, unable to play because they need to focus on their task of assisting you.
〄 But once he realizes that your dog helps you with your health and general activities that are out of reach for you, he understands the importance of leaving it alone when it's on the job. They like to watch though! If they can't play with you or the pup then they might as well watch and observe!
〄 However, whenever your service dog is off the job? You won't ever have to worry about your pup not getting exercise or being bored because The Collector can throw tennis balls and frisbees like it's nobody's business. Your dog will be running laps with this guy. But, you'll have to remind them that your companion needs to rest like every other living creature, because if Collector could have it his way, he would never stop playing.
The Grand Huntsman
〄 I'm going to be completely honest. I have no idea how The Grand Huntsman would react or feel towards the service dog.
〄 They might see the dog as a sort of rival or annoying pest that leeches off of a good portion of your attention— which is something he does not like. But he understands it's purpose and therefore tolerates it.
〄 He does end up growing fond of the little creature though. It took a lot of your attention, now they can sort of see why. He goes from hardly acknowledging it's existence to carrying the pup around during off-time and petting the adorable thing in his lap like a villain stroking their cat. When your service dog isn't on the job then they're most likely getting babied by The Grand Huntsman. And yes, they will try to train your dog to be a hunting dog. No, you will not allow that.
