Turtle's POV
It didn't take long to find the rest of the group. Peril wouldn't leave her prison, Kinkajou was missing, Bear disappeared, but Winter and Sapphire were cuddling in a corner. When Turtle, Moon, and Qibli found them, they were whispering things to each other. Turtle would have smirked and teased them like he was sure Qibli would've done, but Kinkajou was missing and someone took her. There was no time for happiness. Turtle had to find her. He just had too.
Winter jumped in suprise as he saw the three dragons stand over them. "Geez, no need for privacy I guess," he hissed, blush seeping onto his scales.
"Kinkajou has been dragonnapped," Moon stated. Winter stood up from his spot with Sapphire and frowned.
"Who took her?" wondered the icy prince.
"We don't know...at least...yeah we don't know," Qibli said, trying to explain. Sapphire stood up and walked over to the group of dragons. "Moon is trying her best to find her, but no one has thought of her."
"It's exhausting," grumbled the NightWing.
Qibli tilted his head in sympathy and placed his wing over her, giving her the warmth and comfort she needed. Moon smiled sweetly at Qibli and cuddle closer. Turtle watched in envy as the two snuggled together. And he hated it. He wished more than anything that was Kinkajou and him. His heart thundered with rage and envy as he watched the two act like a normal couple. Like his girlfriend wasn't taken from him. As if Kinkajou wasn't dragonnapped and probably...
Turtle didn't finish the thought. Whatever happened, he would find out, and he would make sure that the dragon who did this would pay. If it was one thing that he learned from Peril, was how to get revenge. Qibli seemed to notice Turtle's dark and cold eyes since he whispered something to Moon. Probably about something involving his envious look. Moon's green eyes slid to Turtle's and he gave her a cold look. She frowned but shifted away from Qibli.
He didn't want anyone to get the backlash of his anxiety and rage, but sometimes he let it slip. Right then, he let it slip. "Listen, we don't have the time to sit and chit chat about how exhausting it is find Kinkajou. Right now, we just have to find her before something...before something..." he couldn't finish it. He couldn't finish the sentence about Kinkajou possibly being...killed. Moon glanced down at the ground, realizing what was probably happening to her right this second. "We just have to get to her as soon as possible."
"Turtle, I know you're upset right now about Kinkajou, but we can't right now. We have no clues or hints of where she might be. We have nothing to go find her. Right now our best shot of finding her is Moon's mind reading. She might even have a vision about it. Who knows," Winter said, his cool voice sounding oddly reassuring. Turtle took a deep breath and kicked some rocks lightly. Whether he wanted to believe it not, Turtle knew that Winter was right. Right now their only hope was Moonwatcher and her powers. "And I suggest, that if you want to Kinkajou faster, you should calm down and not do anything rash."
Turtle nodded and glanced at Moon with guilt shimmering in his eyes. "I'm sorry, Moon, I should't have snapped like that."
"It's alright. We just have to...work together to find Kinkajou." Turtle nodded and turned his back. He needed some alone time. Some time to think.
"I, um, I'll be back," whispered Turtle.
Qibli placed his wing comfortingly on Turtle's back and asked, "You gonna be okay?" Turtle smiled softly at his friend and nodded. With that, Turtle took off into the sky. He didn't know where he was going to go. All he knew was that he just needed a break from everyone and everything.
