14 ─ WALK EM LIKE A DOG!

──────── 𓆩♡𓆪

"HELL yeah, I'm a girl!" Y/N declared. "I can be a guy, too, but not right now."

"I'm partially gay...?" Kakucho mentally facepalmed at Ran's silent claim. He was close enough to him to hear it, and so was Rindou.

"Man, shut up," Rindou said.

Izana looked at Y/N up and down; he didn't even bother to hide it.

"Nice coat. Did Kakucho tell you to wear red?"

"No."

"You'll look good in Tenjiku's uniform, then. Come with me," he said, and Y/N followed after him, giving a wink to Kakucho as she passed him by.

The Haitanis closed the doors behind them, and the sound of Izana's clicking footsteps stopped.

The atmosphere was tense, and he knew everyone else felt that way.

Izana peeked over his shoulder, and spoke only one word, which was the surname of the two infamous brothers.

And with that, they both attacked.

Concern swelled up inside Kakucho's chest as he could only watch one of his precious childhood friends get attacked, and probably mercilessly.

"Sorry, 'F/N'," Ran said, his voice smooth and mellow. "Izana's orders."

In a flash, she grabbed his shoulders and used them to kick herself off of the ground and over that tall ass man and grabbed his braids, slamming his head down in the process of her landing.

Rindou attempted to tackle them, and to everyone's surprise, they limped their body down and pushed herself from in between his legs.

The younger helped Ran stand, and they all watched in amusement as Y/N yawned. "Sorry, it─ it's really late, 'n I'm tired. I thought I'd be fighting with your boss?"

"You better warm up, then," Rindou dropped to his signature preying mantis pose, and ran twirled his hair with his baton.

"Weapons? No fair."

"You brought yours, didn't you?" Izana sat cross-legged at an elevated level, looking intently at Y/N. "Take yours out."

"Ahhh," they smiled and slithered out two long metal ropes with blunt hooks chained at the end. They looked like they'd be able to suffocate, but not impale.

Y/N began twirling (lassoing but vertically) the weapon in her right hand rapidly, while keeping the other one low.

"It's a good thing I brought two. I'll walk you both like dogs."

In the end, Kakucho's mouth was left agape at the sight of the two brothers that have fallen to their knees in front of her, with the chains hooked around their necks.

And Y/N didn't even intentionally chain them up. They just found their weapons there at the end of the fight.

"I win!" Y/N chirped and raised their fists in the air.

Kakucho checked his watch, and the time is now 1:21 A.M.. They really took their time against them.

"Took you long enough," Izana sighed. "But I must say, I'm impressed. You're the first one I've seen who took these two down in a fight, and you didn't even break a sweat," he smirked. "Impressive, indeed."

"I'm honored," Y/N jokingly responded, and bowed slightly. "Is the fight officially over? I don't wanna let 'em go in case they might attack me, again."

She bent down so she could level her sight with the brothers' and smiled genuinely. "No hard feelings, man. Sorry, I think I hit you too hard," she nervously chuckled.

"What sport," Hanma commented behind him.

"You did good, Y/N," Izana praised. "But I wonder if you can go any well against me."

"Wait," Kakucho interrupted. "I thought the new members only fight... I dunno, Shion?" He tilted his head.

"Are you going against me, Kakucho?"

"No, I just─"

"She's gonna be one of the Heavenly Kings," he declared, and Kakucho's eyes widened in concern, fear, and surprise. "Which is why I even let the Haitanis go at her for her first. I just wanna see how she fares against me."

He hopped down from his spot, and approached Y/N, who was helping the Haitanis out of their chains.

"Ah, I think I tightend this one toi much," they spoke. "Can you tikt your head and lower yourself down a bit?"

"How tall even are you?" Ran asked, as if they didn't just step on his head at one point in the fight.

"Ehhh, between five feet and six. I don't remember."

a/n: im sorry for all my 6 foot+ girlies out there

"Y/N," Izana called for their attention, and they gave it. "On your left."

"On my le─?"

Izana kicked the left side of their head, but they dropped to a crouch and tried to trip him over from there.

Izana didn't fall for it. Instead, he pulled them up to punch them in the face, except they moved aside and pushed him away.

Y/N was cautious during this; although it was clear neither of them were holding back, Y/N kept a distance. They even ran away from him to stay far at some point.

This didn't go unnoticed to Izana.

"Why 're you avoiding me? Ya scared?"

"I don't think hurting my boss-to-be is a good idea."

"You think you're strong enough to hurt me?"

"Don't put words in my mouth. I don't wanna hurt anyone. Even with them," they gestured to the Haitanis. "I prevented from hurting."

"Don't do that. Hurting people in fights is necessary. Don't hold back, and face me properly."

And Y/N obeyed.

The aftermath of the fight was messy. Their hairs were disheveled, their clothes were bloodied, and Y/N had a busted lip while Izana had a bloody nose.

They were both tired out, and that only brought alarm to the scarred boy; because that meant Y/N would be as strong as Izana himself.

"Izana," Kakucho said. "I think this is enough. Save it for another day."

Thankfully, Izana caved in. He wasn't as stubborn as before and drew back from the fight.

"I don't think you should only be a King," Izana said. "Someone like you should be equals with even me."

"Put me on the lowest rank of whatever section you want me in," Y/N said. "I like surprising the enemy."

"How does that surprise them?"

"Lowest rank? Oh, he must he easy!" Y/N mocked a low voice. "I bet he'd wussy out last minute!"

"... I see. Are you sure you don't want your powers acknowledged? Even I think you deserve more."

"I know I deserve more," they replied. "So it's your choice, sir."

"Then you're number three of Tenjiku."

The whole warehouse watched in awe.

"After me and Kakucho, it'll be you."

"Holy shit," Kakucho's heart dropped. He shouldn't have introduced them. This will go downhill fast.

"Congratulations, Y/N─ you're one of my favorites. And I only have one, other than you," he glanced at Kakucho.

"I'm looking forward to working with you. ♡"
