THE doctor came to them with an unreadable face.

Mikey said everyone can't fit inside this hospital, and said Takemichi could go on behalf of Toman, and Izana sent Kakucho.

Kakucho and Takemichi sat in the waiting room while everyone else were outside. Majority of Tenjiku were arrested, and the specific details of the aftermath of this supposedly "friendly" battle will be discussed later.

"Sirs," the doctor said with a monotonous voice.

Both Kakucho and Takemichi had ran after her, following her to the docks, and catching her right before she could plunge into the depths of the water. Takemichi had accidentally fell in instead of her, but he was helped up with a sorrowful chuckle from Kakucho.

"Yeah?" Takemichi nervously sputtered.

"She's alive and conscious. She says she doesn't want to see any─"

Despite that, Kakucho stood and marched to her room, and Takemichi frantically followed after.

"Sirs!"

But they ignored him.

They reached her, and the twisted feeling of pity gnawing at their stomachs. Kakucho thought she was upset that her team had lost, but Takemichi knew the truth.

"I would never try to end myself for something so measly as that," is what she'd say.

"Why?" She said hoarsly. "Save...? Me..."

"Because you... we..." Kakucho stumbled on his words. He was so confident on his way here, what happened to what he wanted to say?

"Sorry to interrupt, but Kakucho, we need to take you away," officers said at the doorway.

"Can't you see he's trying to check on me?" Y/N glared. "Take him later."

"But─"

"Y/N L/N," Kakucho name-dropped, hoping that would scare them away, and that did.

All that power in her name only... Takemichi shivered.

"I need you to explain. Why'd you do it?"

"I'm still here, so I didn't do anything."

"Why did you try?"

She paused.

"...I lost them."

"What?"

"...I can't.."

"Don't force her," Takemichi gently squeezed his shoulder. "She's mourning."

"I have no more family," she almost whispered. "...B/N and S/N. They're gone."

Kakucho's eyes widened, and even if Takemichi wasn't new to this news, his heart still sank.

"And you found out during the fight...?"

"Takemichi," she said, and he felt guilty.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't... I'm sorry."

"You had every right to be angry," he said, smiling through the bruises on his face. "I should've sat you down and told you as soon as the news came, but I... I hid it."

"But I reacted like a fucking bitch," she hicced, covering her eyes with her hand. "I don't know why you even care."

"Because we're friends," Kakucho answered for him. "So stop self-sabotoging. We're here to help you."
