"Please..." A voice behind him speaks, voice so solemn it makes him turn his head to see a glow of blond that crowned the man's head. Katsuki, he thinks, but before long, his chest tightens with an ugly need to cry out, not knowing at all what caused it. Katsuki is smiling at him, gentle and strange as he comes near to crouch. His own body gives a shudder as he turns away with shoulders drawn to his head.
"N-no..." A sniffle. "I-i trusted you." His voice cracks as his chest constricts another breath from him.
"I wasn't thinking-"
"You humiliated me!" Something pulsed in a visible, glowing flare, but his mind did not seem to give it much thought as his hands tightened around his arms as he lay curled in the sheets. Tears streamed down his face as he looked out a window, showing a crescent moon through the glass as he blinked the blindness away from his eyes. The pillow that his cheek laid on was damp, most likely from the tears that continued to spill from his eyes.
"You spew things I've whispered at my weakest like the nastiest of plagues and have the audacity to laugh as if my existence was a- an antic." A cold laugh comes from his chest as it tightens, vision going blurry as his next words are hard to utter. "Is your love really just the beneficial kind?"
"No." Katsuki says before a hand is placed on his shoulder, but he can barely feel it. Like a phantom of a touch. It's warm and incredibly calming, but unwelcome all the same. "I really do love you, Mikumo. More than anything I've ever cared for."
Mikumo? his mind thinks, questioning, but he can't voice it when he tries.
"So you just- happen to fall in love with mine own being? With the only person that could ever help you achieve thy's 'royal' goal?" he tuts, bitter as spit flies out and onto the pillow before he wipes his mouth and nose. Darker hair then he's used to covers his eyes, but he swipes them away as his eyes remain at the moon with a sudden longing. Of homesickness.
The bedding shifts, the hand on his shoulder moving before dragging down and around his waist with a pull. His body is encompassed by warmth from behind, a sigh heaving behind him as it brushes through his neck before lips press against his nape. He stays silent as he sniffles, but his heart pounds as his hand comes to grip the one on his stomach, feeling it turn and squeeze his fingers with a loving caress of Katsukis thumb.
"Issa jorrāelagon iksos drēje se va moriot. (my love is honest and eternal)" His eyes blink in surprise, but the other continues behind him. "I would never give falsities, not to thee."
He turns his head a little to look at the blond man that looks so much like another he knows with parted lips, eyes flicking between two red ones as they stare back.
"Y-you've memorized my language?" he asks, voice still wavered and whispers, and Katsuki smiles at him again.
"Every word my Yami has graced me with, has been kept close to mine own heart." And the vision fades just as quickly.
