Cafe patoosh.
8:10pm.

"I'll stop by at the house today insha
Allah Maami." Nabil hung up the phone as Hammad approached the table he was seated at.

"Basma ! We need to leave right now!" Najma declared opening her big appealing eyes wide open in shock.

"What's wrong with you? We just got here ,Why should we leave right away? Who did you see?" Basma was quite sure Najma saw someone she doesn't want to meet up with. She knows her too well.

"It's him! Don't turn around abruptly, If not it'd be too obvious. He's seated behind you , just Three tables apart" Najma whispered as she used her veil to cover her face.

Basma did as instructed, "No way, Nabil mukhtar Maidawa !"

Basma quickly palmed her lips, She announced that way too loud. "What is he doing here?" Basma whispered,

"How can I know? Let's just go inside. We can't stay here" Najma whispered back. They stood up and tiptoed like thieves into the restaurant.

"That was a close call." Najma sighed as she lifted the veil off her face, "Why are you avoiding him? You have been dying for his phone call and here he is today but you're avoiding him."

"I'm not dying for his phone call!" Najma snapped , "I just don't want us to meet here. What if he thinks I'm following him around? No! We just can't meet , Well not until he calls you know." She rolled her eyes .

"You're impossible Najma! Why should we have to avoid him? He's the one that came into our lives remember? " Basma announced with her hands at akimbo,

"But I entered his car first , remember? I'm quite sure he already has some misconceptions about me."

"And since when did Najma Hisham Ahmad started giving a damn about what someone thinks of her? You had better get your ass up right now before Abbakar comes back." Basma pulled Najma's arms as she dragged her back to where they were previously seated.

Nabil had already seen them, He didn't alert Hammad of their presence. Nabil made sure he gazed at her occasionally through the corner of his eyes with full FBI tactics. He made sure it didn't appear obvious that he saw her. He felt like walking up to her and ask how she got a head injury. "She's too beautiful to be sustaining injuries, She should be careful next time."

"Nabil, What's your intention with Najma?" Hammad asked bringing Nabil back from his thoughts.

"What do you think my intentions are?" Nabil asked with full charisma as he took a sip of the orange juice he ordered.

"I don't know, that's why I'm asking you. Najma is just like a sister to me. She has been my sister's best friend ever since they were little. I won't want her to get hurt."

"And you think I'm going to hurt her right? As the bad guy everyone has labeled me. Don't worry, nothing will happen to her." Nabil declared as he kept busy with his phone.

"Have you called her?" Hammad asked.

Nabil smiled mischievously, he knew Hammad would ask him.

"No I haven't called her, but she will call." He declared with full confidence.

"Pardon? You think Najma would ever call first? Have you taken a good look at how God beautifully designed her? "

"Have you taken a good look at how God designed me too? Don't tell me you don't know they all call me Kano's most eligible bachelor. Which lady would dare let this opportunity pass her?"

Nabil has never called a lady first in his entire life, he makes sure she gets his contact and calls first. That's why he made sure Najma saved his contact the other day before she left his sight.
