I was staying the night at hoppers cabin with maven, El was currently searching for mike.

"(Y/n), what is..'Algebra'?" Maven asked as he was reading a book, "Algebra is basically mathematics with letters." I answered, he nodded.

"Can I ask you something?" Maven said, "Sure." I replied while crossing my legs.

"Do you think..I- I'll lose my powers one day?" Maven asked, but that was not what he wanted to 'ask' he wanted to ask what 'I love you' meant but that would mean he's telling you he loves you but he thinks it's too soon.

"What? No, of course you won't. but even without you not having powers, it shouldn't matter, you're still the Mae I know." I said with a smile and placed a kiss on his cheek.

"Thank you, love." Maven said as he held my hand, I blushed at the name.

I just had this bad feeling something was going to happen.
