3rd Person POV

Y/N had thought about his rant to Ellie. He knew it was just a chaotic emotional overload. He did not want to end things with Ariana. He knew he needed to talk to his girlfriend more seriously about the jealousy situation. It is true that Y/N has noticed Ariana having more jealous moments. 

Both were laying in bed during the beautiful morning. Y/N was thinking about his need for communication. He did not really know how to bring it up. But, somehow it needed to be talked about. So he just had to say it. "Can we please discuss something, um, important?" he brought up, as he was playing gently with Ariana's hair. He stopped his movements as Ariana turned around and sat up to face him properly. Ariana looked worried. "Wait. It is not something extremely life changing. Don't worry." 

"Ok, so what is it?" Ariana wondered a lot right then. She was worried about all sorts of possibilities. 

"I'm a bit worried that you don't think I'll stick around, Thinking that I am not all in. But, I am. I am totally all for this relationship and I really do love you," he said. Y/N was thinking over what he said and he wasn't so sure he phrased it appropriately. "What I mean is that... I understand jealousy is perfectly normal. But lately it has left me worried about it." 

Ariana understood where Y/N was coming from. She always had a bit of a jealousy problem. It has been worse with Y/N. Ever since they got back together, she was wondering how it was even possible. Ariana did not feel like Y/N should've taken her back. She cheated. She's been beating herself up about it and she never thought she would ever be that person. The singer was worried that any other person could make Y/N fall in love and it would be it. The person who makes him fall in love again will be better because they are not a cheater. "I know you love me. I know you care so much. But I'm scared that you'll find someone better. Someone who didn't hurt you like I did," she admitted. The truth must be said. 

"That is all in the past. I don't hold anything against you. I love you more than anything and I really need you to know that. There's no other person who will make me feel love like you do," Y/N told the singer. He put all of his feelings into those words because he meant them. Sure he was freaking out two days ago. But he new his true feelings that went beyond his state of panic. 

Ariana smiled at his words. The need for reassurance was very much fulfilled. Sure she couldn't ask him to reassure her every time she gets jealous. But she liked hearing it now. "I will work on it. I swear. I know jealousy can get out of hand. I love you very much. You make me so crazy with my emotions. When I'm around you I feel any emotion 10 times more."

Communication is key. Remember that.

That evening, after Y/N was finished studying, Ariana and Y/N had went out for a walk. They were enjoying the atmosphere and most of all like their time together. They each spoke about their day. Ariana had worked on some songs and started recording one of them. Y/N had 4 lectures and he was enjoying all of them. 

"Y/N. I know it is all in the past. But I do wonder something about our time apart. First, I wasn't with anyone else while we were broken up. I know you were with Dalton. But was there anyone else?" She said. It was something that was eating at her a bit. Ariana was very curious. Y/N is a very attractive guy in her opinion. He probably had many people lining up. 

Y/N didn't mind her question. He knew it would probably be asked. "I was. It was when I was starting to feel less shitty. My friends wanted me to 'get back out there,' as they said. They brought me to a club and honestly I don't do clubs that well. I met this girl... Vanessa. We left the club and went to a small diner instead. After we went on two dates. The furthest it went was making out. It didn't get to three dates because I told her I wasn't ready for another relationship. I didn't want let it get too far," he explained. 

"Do you think if it was a different situation... do you think you would've went on that third date?" Ariana asked. 

"I don't know. There is only the 'what if' of never knowing you, which is very different circumstances," he said. Y/N believed in this situation, it was best not to be honest. He knew that if he was in a state of wanting to be in a relationship, he would most likely go on a third date. The reason it ended was because it wasn't the right time. But that is not what Ariana needed to hear.
