"fuck you james im gonna talk to him."

"good luck, hes up in my room."

i smiled at him slightly and started up his stairs. i knocked on the door and heard nothing.

i walked in, looked around the room, and saw remus smoking by the window.

"those things will kill you, ya know?"

"who cares, im gonna die anyway." he tapped it on the window seal until it went out then dropped it out the window.

he turned to me and tried to smile. "what do you want?"

"to talk."

"that makes one of us."

"listen remus im genuinely sorry about what happened." i stepped forward.

"and just like at the hospital, you didnt fix it." he turned back to the window. "are you ever sorry?"

"i am remus, i always am!"

"you dont act like it." his voice cracked.

he put his head in his hand and continued to stare out the window.

i stayed silent for a minute, then sat next to him.

"i dont know remus-"

"you never truly know anything do you?" he jerked his head to me.

"so you dont wanna talk?"

"ohhh no of course i wanna talk to you after you blatantly lied to me! why would i not???" he said in a sarcastic tone.

"got it," i paused. "wait, blatantly lied to you?"

"dont act like mary is a storybook character, obviously i know whats going on; im not as olivious as i may seem."

"oh." i whispered.

he turned to face me. "i know its not your fault, and hell i know marys been a bitch since i met her; but you have to figure something out! until then, im not sure we should talk, let alone date."

"yeah." i looked down and wiped the tears falling down mt cheeks.

he wrapped his arms around my neck and hugged me.

"you've been the best friend, and definitely the best boyfriend that ive ever had," he paused to wipe my eyes. "but i think until everything is sorted out with mary, that we need a break."

"im gonna figure this out rem, im not gonna give up on us and i never will."

"im not either, things will play out how they're made too." he pulled out of the hug and held my face.

"one last kiss? for good luck."

he chuckled and looked around.

"things will play out siri," he pulled my face to his. "i know they will."

"i know." i stood up. "i have to go before my mom finds out i snuck out."

"alright, bye."

"bye, ill text you."

"please do."

i turned and walked out. i walked back down the stairs and saw james sitting on the couch.

"how'd it go?" he asked.

i sat next to him and broke down on his shoulder.
