Chapter 62 : First Meeting

Third Person's P. O. V :

After that little scene at the port, Garrett took Billy and his Seniors to a local dinner just a few blocks away from the port to have some breakfast. Billy ordered bacon and eggs, Sherlock ordered some Mac and Cheese and William ordered pancakes, their drinks were apple juice, blueberry milkshake and tea ( although it wasn't as great as Louis' tea, it was doable ). The only one who didn't order anything was Garrett because he had already eaten before coming to pick up Billy.

"You're not going to eat, Garrett ?" Billy asked when he noticed that Garrett wasn't eating.

Garrett smiled at him and said, "No. I already ate before coming here."

"Oh okay." Billy said as he continued to eat his breakfast.

Meanwhile, Sherlock and William were silently observing the two as they ate their breakfast in silence. They made eye contact and nodded their heads in agreement then, Sherlock faked a cough to get their attention. Garrett slightly flinched upon seeing the serious look the two were giving him, as if they were looking into his entire soul. He gulped in nervousness but, he wasn't going to back down because he isn't the type of person to easily give up in front of a huge challenge. William saw his determination and showed a small smile for a brief second then, it disappeared again. Sherlock also saw this and nodded his head in satisfaction.

"So... You're Garrett, huh? We heard a lot about you from Billy..." Sherlock started as he wiped some cream off his face using the napkin provided by the dinner.

Especially about the ones hurting and ignoring him... Sherlock added inside his head as he showed a fake smile on his face that looked crooked while his fists tightened on top of the table they were resting on. Garrett however, did not notice this and instead flinched upon hearing that Billy has been talking about him. He was desperately hoping that they were good ones because, the two people in front of him weren't just anyone but, Billy's most trusted and well respected Seniors who took care of him when he was still in the UK. Although he was always jealous hearing about from Billy, he really wanted to look good in front of them because, they held a significant part in Billy's life so he really wanted them to like him. In terms of getting along and to also be with Billy which is pretty much is his main ulterior motive in wanting them to like him.

"Billy also talks about the two of you all the time. Which is why, I always wanted to meet you to thank you for taking care of Billy and for accompanying him when he was in London." Garrett sincerely said to them with a genuine smile on his face.

William and Sherlock saw his sincerity however, the two showed different thoughts about the other. William was deeply pleased with Garrett and he has already seen through him. He shared the same feelings as Billy but also had the same fear of rejection due to them being close friends and not wishing to ruin their current relationship and making it awkward between them. He could see how much Garrett loved Billy by the way he looked at him throughout the whole time. From right from the start when they saw each other again at the ports, Garrett had the same loving gaze like his parents, his Eldest Brother and Mycroft, Louis and John and especially how his Sherlock always looked at him, the look of unconditional love. However, it wasn't just by how he gazed at Billy but also by his actions, how he tightly held Billy in his arms, by checking to see if he was okay, by carrying his bags for him and by through attentive nature towards everything Billy does.

Not to mention, he looked quite flustered when he found out that Billy was talking about him with them. William showed a small smile on his lips and continued to eat his breakfast in joy. Meanwhile, Sherlock, although pleased with Garrett, was also displeased at the same time. Why? Because he viewed Billy like his own younger brother and he honestly didn't like the thought of any girl or guy making a move on Billy. Ever since Billy came into their lives, Sherlock learned the feeling of having a younger sibling. Sherlock, although he acted aloof most of the time, he honestly wanted a younger sibling that he can play with. He always longed for his mother to give birth to a younger sibling especially because of William and his siblings. Although, Sherlock argued with Louis all the time, he really wanted a younger sibling like him, except his personality. Which is why he deeply adores his niece Alice, although she loves messing with him most of the time, Sherlock loved that annoying little brat with all his heart.
