But that moment ended, not in good way.
Nai-park na ni Lucian ang sasakyan sa grahe. He immediately got out of the car to assist me. Binuksan nito ang pinto sa gilid ko at inalalayan akong bumaba. I smiled and thanked him.
We act casual, muli ay nasa likod ko na ulit siya at may kalayuan ang distansya. I opened the door and was confused when the lights are off. Humakbang ako at tinignan ang paligid.
"Mom? Dad? Yaya?" I called them.
Nakita ko ang paghahanap ni Lucian sa switch, pagbukas na pagbukas ng ilaw ay may humila sa'kin. I was terrified but it faded when I realized that it's my Dad.
"D-Dad, you scared me! Ano ba 'to?" I asked.
Lumingon ako kay Lucian at bigla akong nanghina ng makitang pinapalibutan siya ng mga tao ni Dad. They're pointing their guns at him.
"W-What.." I shifted my eyes to my father. "What's this? S-Stop this!"
He didn't look at me. Nakita ko ang pagngisi nito habang nakatingin sa lalaking masama rin ang tingin sa kaniya habang nakataas ang kamay.
"Really? You're here? Matapang talaga kayong magkakapatid. Why? you're thinking that you can fool and defeat me? Hell No!" My father shouted.
Lucian seriously glanced at me back to my father. "Yes, we can. In the very first place, someone defeated you, you just can't accept it and now you're making a mess again."
"Shut up! You bastard!" I flinched when my Dad shouted angrily.
Bigla akong napangiwi ng maramdaman ang mahigpit na hawak sa braso ko. I bit my lip and tried to free myself. "Let go of me Dad! W-What's this? T-Tama na!"
His mad eyes shifted on me. Nagtiim ang panga nito at tinignan ako ng masama. For a moment, I feel like he's very different from my Dad. "They're the one who kidnapped you right?! Ano 'to?! Don't fucking tell me that you have relationship with him!"
"And why?!" I didn't notice my voice became high. "They're good! Ni hindi ko malaman kung anong kinagagalit mo sa kanila!" I exclaimed.
I stopped, my shocked eyes stared at the floor while the ringing sound in my ear kept to continue. I know how good my father is but now, I'm doubting that. I didn't expect him to slap me, ever in my life.
Nanginig ang labi ko habang hawak-hawak ang pisnging mahapdi. I heard a commotion behind me and the next thing I saw is my father, on the floor and Lucian who keep on giving him punches.
Napahakbang ako paatras dahil sa gulo. Many bodyguards tried to stop him but he didn't listen. His eyes are dangerous, namumula ito habang patuloy.
Bigla akong natauhan at lumapit sa kanila. I pulled his arm. "Enough Lucian!"
"Don't you fucking hurt her! Not in front of me! You fucking bastard asshole!"
I saw my father, his swollen lips are evident and he's full of bruises. Nanlumo ako at mas hinila si Lucian papalayo. Hindi niya yata ako napansin o napagkamalang isa sa mga bodyguards ni Dad. He harshly pushed me, napasalampak ako sa sahig at ininda ang palapulsuhang naitukod ko bago bumagsak.
I immediately groaned because of the pain. Doon lang din natauhan ang lalaki at biglang napaharap sa'kin. His widened eyes shifted on me. Without any second thoughts, he rush to me and gently touch my wrist.
"F-Fuck.. I-I'm sorry! I didn't mean.." he frustratedly said.
Napangiwi ako sa paghawak niya ngunit hindi ko masyadong ininda. "I'm okay, don't worry.."
"N-No.. I'm sorry babe, hindi ko napansin, tangina.. are you okay? Does it hurt so bad? How-how's our-"
I screamed when I heard a gunshots. Gulat at hindi ako makagalaw na napatitig kay Lucian na dumadaing na ngayon at pinapalibutan na ng mga lalaki. I saw his arm dripping with blood. His grip on me tightened. Nakita niya ang takot sa mga mata ko ng mapansin na nabaril siya kaya dali-dali itong mas lumapit at yumakap sa'kin. Prinoprotektahan.
Napasigaw ako ng haltakin siya ng kung sino sa harapan ko. Nanlalabo ang mga mata habang pilit na hinahawakan siya pero nahatak na siya ni Dad na nasa likod nito. May hawak na baril at parang kahit anong orad ay kaya niyang iputok.
I never been scared for my whole life not until now. With my trembling knees, I stood up and tried to get near them but my Dad angry shouts stopped me.
"Don't you dare to come here Kizeah!" He exclaimed. Tumingin siya sa mga tao niyang nasa gilid at may sinenyas. Two of them took my arm at pilit na hinihila palayo kila Lucian.
I saw his tired eyes looked at me. He nodded his head, like he's telling me to go. Marahas kong iniling ang ulo at pilit na tinatanggal ang pagkakahawak sa'kin.
I helplessly looked at my Dad. "P-Please Tama na.. Stop this D-Dad please.." I begged.
He didn't listen. I cried harder, nakita ko ang pagkasa niya ng baril at pagtutok nito sa likod ni Lucian. The latter didn't move and keep his eyes on me.
"I fucking knew that you're here. Do you think I'm a fool huh?!" Tinulak-tulak niya ang ulo ni Lucian gamit ang baril niya. "Bakit ba hindi niyo 'ko tigilan?! Tangina niyong magkakapatid, kung hindi kayo madaan sa usapan, uunahan ko nalang kayo sa patayan!"
My world slowed when I saw how his finger moved. He was about to shot him dead when a sudden explosion happened. Nawala ang mga nakahawak sa'kin at biglang umingay. Hindj ko makita ang nangyayari dahil sa kapal ng usok. I just felt someone's hand pulling me out of nowhere, hindi ako kaagad nakapalag dahil patuloy ako sa pag-ubo dahil sa usok.
He put a handkerchief in my mouth. I panicked and tried to remove it but the man behind me was strong.
My sight became blurry. Naaaninag ko na lamang sila pero unti-unti na ring umaalis ang malay ko sa'kin.
Before I closed my eyes, I heard him behind me whispered.
"You're safe, hal.."
