Melody was standing in her Father's man cave explaining to him what happened to the phone. The game was on when she walked in, so she knew it wasn't the best time but she needed to replace her phone.
"What's going on again" he says as the half time commercials began
"My screen, it's cracked." Melody says
"How did that happen?" He ask and Melody hesitated to answer because she had just finished explaining it to him, she hates repeating herself.
"I was running to practice and it dropped out my bag. I can't even touch the screen" she explained and Zac rubbed his head breathing out
"So you can't use the phone at all?" Zac ask
"No daddy look" she says showing him the phone and he grabs it
"This is crazy, the entire screen. You'll have to send for a new one"
"But daddy I need a phone, apple is still open we could go right now" Melody says excitedly
"You see what's on the Tv?" He ask and she nods
"What's on the Tv Mel?" He continues
"The game daddy but I have to have a phone" she says
"We'll go when the game goes off" he says as quick answer
"They will be closed, we have to go now" she says begging him
"Fatima!" Zac yells out with no immediate answer from his wife. He shouts again " Fatima!"
"Zac what?" She says making her way downstairs
"What are you screaming my name for" she says with irritation as she appear with wet hands and a paper towel drying them
"Mel what's wrong with you?" She ask standing next to her
"I need a new phone and Daddy isn't trying to take me"
"The game is on Fatima."
"Well first, what's wrong with your phone. We literally just upgraded not even a month ago" Fatima says
"Show her the phone" Zac tells melody and she passes the phone off
"What the hell. Zac you're gonna have to take her. I think apple closes at 9"
"T but the game?!" He whines "can't you take her?"
"Nope I cant, I'm getting Messiah hair situated. I need to get back upstairs to finish washing it" she says and Zac looks up in the air as if the answer is there.
"Figure it out Zachary" Fatima says walking back up the stairs
"Daddy please" Melody pouts, trying to butter him up
"Alright alright damn" he says getting up from the couch. Throwing his body around, Melody was happy.
"I can never just watch the damn game." He says grabbing his keys and wallet
"Let's go"
"Mom we're leaving!" Melody shouts as they head out the door
The two head to Apple, Melody pretty much did all the talking for the transaction as Zac watched the game on his phone. Handing his card over without looking up.
Back in the house Mia was in her closet talking on the phone to Trey.
"No when she told me I was just like whatever"
"I love when you act like you don't care, because I know you really do" he says and they laugh
"No I'm serious, I just didn't." Mia admits
" We all knows Mia doesn't care" he jokes "but I can't wait to chill with you, we don't get to see eachother during school"
" I know and practice makes it harder."Mia adds
"You should've been in my grade"
"Talk to my parents, they should've had me a year earlier then" she says
"It's cool, you're my little baby. We'll have tomorr-
"Mia!" Fatima calls out
"I'll call you back okay" Mia says quickly hanging up
"Mia?" She hears her mother call again
"Yes!" Mia says peeking her head out of her closet as Fatima stood in her room doorway
"You didn't hear me call you?" Fatima ask
"No I was in my closet, trying to find something to wear to school tomorrow" Mia quickly comes up with
"Can you help your brother with his Nintendo, you know I don't know how to work that thing" she ask before disappearing out the door
"Yeah here I come" Mia says following behind.
Zac and Melody return to the house with Melody's new phone. Melody went up to her room and sat on her bed with the door open as she set her new phone up.
Mia appeared in her room smirking
"So you're dance story won?" She smirks
"You know he only cares about the game" Melody says and Mia laughs
"New phone who this" Melody joked putting the phone up to her ear and Mia laughed with her
"What you got going on? Im surprised you're not in the closet talking to Trey" Melody teased
"Shut up" Mia says " I'm sure if you tell mommy about him, you wouldn't have to sneak to talk on the phone" Melody says
"Not doing that, I'll just wait."
" I forgot being sneaky brings excitement to your life" Melody says sarcastically
"It's not being sneaky, you know how they are." Mia says
"Why don't you just go to Ashley's and see him"
"Or even better, he comes here" Mia says
"That's stupid, you want to get yourself in trouble"
"How am I gonna get in trouble if no one is here" Mia tries to reason
"The only time no one is home is when we're at school and they're at the office so I don't know how you plan to pull that off" Melody says
"Exactly, soooo you my sister. Have a great day at school tomorrow" Mia says
"Mi, you better not"
"Cough cough, I'm feeling sick" Mia says making her way out of Melody's room
"I'll pray for you" Melody says
Mia grew up to be a risk taker and sneaky by nature. Some may say strict parents create sneaky children but Fatima and Zac weren't strict, the kids were just well disciplined. They understand everything that comes with raising teenagers but Zac has a high alert out for boys coming around the girls. They were beautiful, and him knowing how he was when he met their mother. He was up to no good and he knows exactly how a teenage boy thinks. He allows his children to do whatever makes them happy within bounds but always said boys are not in question.
Fatima sided with him but she made sure to build a connection with the girls that allows them to come talk to her about anything.
