The next morning, Fatima was up in the kitchen while the girls lounged on the couch. She reassured Zac's mother that she was okay and that all of her help was appreciated. Although hesitant to leave, Zac's mother left.
Fatima made herself some tea while she checked emails on her phone as the girls talked about god knows what on the couch. The door bell rang and the girls heads popped up, turning to their mother.
"Go get the door for your aunt" she says and Mia hops up to get the door.
"Oh my god!" They could hear Mia say in awe. Melody nearly tripped over the couch trying to see the commotion.
Fatima grinned to herself knowing the girls hadn't met Laiya yet and Danni insisted she come check on Fatima today.
"They done stole my baby" Danni says walking in laughing with Mia holding the car seat and Melody with the bag.
Fatima laughed turning her body in the stool as Danni came over to embrace her warmly.
"Well bitch if you were going to die atleast let me know ahead of time" she says laughed and the girls whipped their heads toward the adults
"Grown folks conversation... grown folks conversation" Danni says playfully flagging them
"You better stop, they've been attached like they're four and five again" Fatima say laughing
"If it's one thing they don't play about, is you. Hunter done kick me to the side as soon as he got that car" Danni says sitting in the stool neck to her
"See mom!" Melody frowned
"I know Mel, we're going to work it out. We can talk to your father about it" Fatima says and Fatima heard Mia scuff to herself.
"She-
"Uh uh... he's upstairs laying down. Let's sit out back" Fatima says
"Can I trust y'all with my baby because if I even hear a cough from her-
"We got her" Melody says laughing
"That's precious cargo right there you better" Danni says jokingly
The girls got comfortable on the couch with Laiya and Danni headed out back with Danni.
"I turn my head for two seconds and you in the damn emergency room. What the hell is going on in this house?" Danni ask looking at Fatima.
"I told him I wanted to separate" Fatima says
"Seriously? Like filing for a separation?!" Danni asked with her voice fluctuating.
"I don't know. I just think we should be apart. I told him we didn't have to do a legal separation but ever since I told him, he barely has said a word to me and if he does you can tell he's mad." Fatima says
"So you had the attack after you ask for the separation or-
"No I asked for the separation when I was in the hospital" Fatima admits
"Fatimaaaa!" Danni says "No you didn't!" She says in shock
"Danni-
"Fatima that's not right. In the damn hospital bed?! Seriously!" Danni ask
"It was laying heavy on me, I had to say it." Fatima says
"After that man rushed your ass to the hospital not knowing god knows what is happening to you, you hit him with that?!" Danni says in pure disbelief
Fatima didn't know how to respond
"Now we've known eachother our entire damn lives and I know you can be somewhat cutthroat with shit but Fatima that's some crazy shit" Danni tells her shaking her head.
