Fatima was able to calm Mason down after a few minutes and he went back to sleep. She knew he'd be getting up soon so he can eat.
Fatima walked down to Melody's room and she heard her on the phone when she arrived the door. She tried to open the door but it was locked so she knocked on it.
"Leave me the fuck alone Mia!" She growled
"Open this door" she heard her mother's voice and became startled. She had mistaken.
"I'll call you back" Mia says as she gets off of her bed to open the door
"Wassup with your mouth?" Fatima ask
"What?" Melody says in a high pitched voice trying to act as if she were innocent and didn't know what her mother was talking about.
"Leave you the fuck alone?" Fatima says spitting her words back "The cursing needs to stop because it's out of line and disrespectful." Fatima says
"But I'm not talking to you" Melody tries to defend while standing in front of her mother
"I don't give a damn if you were talking to yourself, I don't want to hear not another shit, damn, fuck, or whatever else, I don't want to hear none of that come out of your mouth." Fatima explains
"Ok" Melody says turning to go sit back on her bed
"Wassup with you?" Fatima ask putting her weight on what hip.
"Nothing" Melody responds nonchalantly
"It's obviously something because your attitude stinks and your mouth is beyond ridiculous. Why are you talking to Mia like that? Like you have no business talking to your sister like that" Fatima says
"Maybe she should mind her business if she not gon like what I have to say" Melody says
"You shouldn't say anything at all!" Fatima responds
"I don't care she need to mind the business that pays her, because clearly she worried about what I'm doing. That's her problem" Melody says as Fatima becomes irritated with her daughters sassiness.
"What's my problem Melody?" Mia says opening the bathroom door that joins their rooms
"Mia go back to your room, I'm sick of your shìt too" Fatima says
"Nobody is going to keep disrespecting me" Mia says
"You heard what the fuck I said now go somewhere" Fatima says sternly and Mia steps out but still in the distance.
"Now back to you." Fatima says " Where were you earlier when I came back home with your father?" Fatima ask "and don't say you were in this house because you weren't" she adds
"I took a walk" Melody let easily roll off her tongue and. Fatima chuckled to herself
"A walk?" Fatima ask
"Yes and I sat at the park" Melody says and Fatima tries to keep her laugh to herself.
"Okay" Fatima says before leaving out of the room. She walked with purpose back to Zac who was still sitting at the dining room table.
"I got my money on Mia" Zac says laughing while leaning back in the chair with his arm cross in-front of his chest.
"Won't you shut the hell up" Fatima says and Zac throws his hand up
"Now I have to shut the hell up. I don't know what you're doing with this whole situation but all of this shìt unacceptable. You letting them talk to eachother like that, Mia is going to knock her head off and YOU know that. Then her being out with that nigga, did you even ask her about?" He says
