Stark Tower
—————————————————————
New York City is chaos, and not like usual. Chitauri soldiers are storming around the streets and skies of the big, bright city, provoking fear among all the citizens of New York. A bright blue beam shoots out of the top of Stark Tower, brightening the dimmed sky. Loki walks out onto a small runway built into the side of the tower. He holds the scepter firmly in his hand, lifting his chin triumphantly as he stares at the battlefield below.

Little does Loki know, the Avengers have all reunited and are on their way for a showdown.

"I've told you a million times: I do not have superpowers! I don't know what you're talking about!" Madelyn exclaims. She is sitting in a chair with her ankles tied to the legs of the chair and her wrists tied together behind her back.

Loki rolls his eyes and angrily sighs. He's had enough of this.

"Then why does Director Fury want to keep you such a secret? Why didn't this scepter turn you completely under my control?" Loki asks, growing more and more impatient.

"How should I know?!" Madelyn fires back, also growing impatient.

"You do know, and you're just not telling me. I will get this out of you no matter what I have to do," Loki states coldly, walking closer to Madelyn. At the end of his sentence, Loki places the tip of the scepter under her chin. He slowly pushes her chin up to look him in the eyes, the blade piercing into her skin.

Madelyn tries to fight her scared shivering, and she keeps a harsh, stern expression on her face, "Go ahead. You can't do much worse than what my previous kidnappers did."

Loki's harsh expression falters. The scepter falls slightly, relieving pressure from Madelyn's neck. Loki's demeanor almost softens, and Madelyn swears she watches his eyes gleam with a slight sympathetic look.

This doesn't last long, however. Loki shakes his head slightly and is quickly brought back to his icy stare and cold demeanor.

"I demand that you-" Loki raises his voice, but he is quickly cut off by his brother, Thor, landing behind him on the balcony of the tower, causing Loki to glance behind him.

"This conversation is NOT over," Loki hisses before turning his full attention to Thor.

"Brother, you're better than this," Thor proclaims.

"Oh high and mighty Thor, how I do hate to disappoint you," Loki snaps back sarcastically, smirking as he raises the scepter.

The two brothers begin to fight on the balcony, throwing one another around. Loki gets close to knocking Thor off the building until Thor knocks the scepter out of Loki's hand, forcing it to slide across the floor close to Madelyn's feet.

The brothers continue to jostle one another around until Thor hits Loki against his helmet.

"Brother, look at what you've done!!" Thor yells, as he forces Loki to look to the streets of the city.

Loki snaps out of his trance from the scepter again, looking out at the wreckage his army has created. He looks helpless, confused, and afraid.
