Chapter 22-Man hunt.

No one's P.O.V

Raining pelting from the sky, slapped roughly onto a cold young lady as she trudged through a dark forest on the outskirts of a sleeping town. Far enough from civilisation, she sat down resting against a tree gasping for air as the cold air swept through her lungs like a thousand needles a second. Rough puffs of air breaking through the chilling wind but the rain breaks through it and breaks it within mile seconds. The only sound reverberating throughout the darkness is the rain, but was short lived when a crack of thunder shot the girl awake instantly as she jumped in fright at the sudden boom of sound startling her.

Unbeknownst to his girlfriend's departure, Alan slept soundlessly through the storm not waking or flinching at the sounds piercing through the night like a sharp knife to skin. Flashes lighting up the sky like a hundred spot lights in one sector. Shielded by the overhanging leaves, Rebecca sat watching the sky and flinching at the sudden booms of the thunder. Thinking to herself about how well she knew Alan and how she came to meet him for the first time, she couldn't help but think she made a slight mistake on leaving. But she knew this was for the best for his safety, she is too much work for him to keep a constant eye on her as he has jobs of his own. She knew this was right and so there is no way she would turn back now.

*Morning* Alan's P.O.V

Stirring from a long sleep Alan stretched his limbs before rubbing his eyes to get rid of the sleep that had crusted his eyes over. Blinking a few times he adjusted to the light bursting through his chiffon like curtains. Yawning, he climbed out of the bed and headed toward his en-suite bathroom and had a shower to wake him up from his sleep like state.

After a long shower he stepped out awake and raring for the day ahead of him. Dressing himself he then left his room and headed for the kitchen to make himself and Becca breakfast to wake her up with in bed. Turning the gas on the stove he began preparing the eggs and bacon and French toast put the hash browns in the oven. Going over to the counter he poured some hot coffee from the machine into a cup and put it on a tray ready and waiting to be carried up stairs to wake his loving girlfriend up with unbeknownst to the shock he will get when opening the door.

After everything was ready, he lifted the tray up and headed for the staircase and slowly and carefully took each step up to her room and gradually his smile widened at the thought of seeing her sleeping form upon her plush double bed all to herself. Reaching the landing, he turned right and slowly crept toward her door to not wake her up with his loud footsteps echoing off the walls of the corridor.

Finally arriving at the dark oak wood door he balanced the tray on his right arm and reached for the handle of the door and twisted it slowly to not wake her up with the sound of the bolt clicking open. Pushing it open more he could see the headboard but the one thing that he thought was odd that the light was almost blinding in the room like the window was wide open and the curtains were not drawn. Fear growing in the back of his mind already he hesitantly pushed it open more to see the room fully, he dropped the tray and it splashed out and crashed onto the crisp carpet leaving numerous stains and crumbs and lumps of food and drink spattered on the floor. Looking over the scene in the room he thought at first that she was kidnapped yet again but then why would the kidnapper bother to carry her out the window when there was clearly a front door that they could exit out of. Right then he knew just what had happened; she had left of her own accord.

Walking further into the room he walked toward the bed in hope that she left at least a note, but to no prevail there wasn't even that. Stepping over the tied sheets, he slowly perched himself on the edge of the bed and stared lifelessly out the wide open window like there was nothing left for him. He was beyond hurt; it was like his heart had been torn from his chest and torn apart right in front of him. This was the biggest amount of pain he had ever experienced and he never knew he would have to experience it.

Not knowing how well to take this situation, he sat there for at least an hour or two not even going to eat his own breakfast which would be stone cold by now. It wasn't until one of his security members walked into the room and just observed the scene that he had stumbled across.

"Horrible isn't it?" Alan said knowing that the man was lost for words himself.

"Yes, actually I have come to say that we caught a figure on the camera on the late hours after lights out. The person had a duffle bag and the rain began and soaked the camera lens and so we couldn't see clearly but we knew from the sheer size of the figure that it was female sir, and from the looks of this room it might have been Rebecca."

Standing bolt upright he got an idea right then and there. He had to do something about the fact that she had left.

"Which direction was she caught walking in?" He asked impatiently.

"East, sir."

"Right then, here's what I want you to do. You will gather all of the staff here and call for a man hunt looking for Rebecca in the eastern parts. If so create a line of you so that you can look for any broken debris that could suggest that she went that way, I suppose you have had training in that am I correct?" The man nodded. "What are you standing around for? GO!" He yelled.

"Yes sir!" He said before bolting out the door. He will find her and he will have her in his arms and will never let her go. He had a gut feeling he knew why she left, but he wanted to know from her, even if it was the last thing he did.
