Chapter 25- Nightmares and bonding.

With an early rise, Rebecca was still unconscious so Alan had to carry her all the way back to his home; their home. As Alan got to the gates of the house guards and servants came running to his aid. The guards took Rebecca off his hands as they could carry her with more ease than him and the servants took Alan's bag from him to lighten his load as he was slightly hunched over from the former weight that was pulling his posture down. Stretching, he sighed and smiled, for the first time in a while he was now happy that he was home and to know that Rebecca was safe and sound even if she won't be well and awake for some time. But it was quite the weight off his shoulders now, all that was left to care for her.

As the gates closed after Alan's forwarding form the servants and guards alike all welcomed him home and gave him praise on his successful search for Rebecca. Waving them all off with a smile on his face, he made himself comfortable in the lounge. Giving orders to those who was to care for Rebecca, Alan finally relaxed in to the plush cushions. Though she was safe, he had a feeling things are more than likely to get worse or that she will have a forever growing discomfort with the thought that Ronald was still after her. All he could do was to wait for Ronald to do something again for him to be able to take action on the man that was causing the love of his life some uneasiness within her life. Then hopefully he could have a normal life with her.

Smiling at the thoughts running through his mind Alan was completely unbeknownst to the sniper sitting a few feet from his house looking down the scope of a sniper rifle. This unknown assassin scoped out there entirety of Alan's household and perimeter around the house. The house looked easily impenetrable if it wasn't for the fact he had so many guards. Packing away the rifle the man left the Rickman household to report back to his employer.

A couple of weeks passed and Alan never left Rebecca's bedside. Watching her chest rise and fall with every breath she took. Watching her eyes from under her eyelids shift in every direction after countless nightmares. He grew more and more concerned for as each day passed. She had not woke up to eat or drink and he feared that again she may have fallen in yet another comatose state.

Late that night Alan was awoken by Rebecca's persistent screaming and crying from yet another nightmare.

"No! Leave him out of this! You want me not him, he has nothing to do with this! Take me instead, please! NO!!" Was what she screamed over and over. Then out of nowhere, she began to thrash, knocking things flying off the bedside cabinet, knocking a photo of them and a vase off leaving them to fall and smash on the floor. Guards ran down the long hallways to her room as they heard the smashing glass and thought of the worst but to only find it was Rebecca in a nightmare. Alan tried to pin her down but she continued to kick and scream until she sat bolt upright and head-butted Alan right in the nose causing a loud crunch to bounce off the walls as she broke his nose, leaving him in a pained pile on the floor moaning and grunting as blood streamed out of his nose.

Rebecca opened her eyes only to be met with blurriness and light-headedness. She had no clue what just took place but she knew about every single nightmare she had. She don't know how she was in a bed. She was hot and sweaty as her hair stuck to her cheeks and the back of her neck. Slowly adjusting to the dim light, the blurriness faded and she could see Alan laying in a heap on the floor and guards staring in shock at him and her.

"A-Alan, are you alright?" She managed to say with a very dry and hoarse voice only to end up in a massive coughing fit due to the prickly vocal cords. Alan slowly got up from the floor and pushed his nose back in place with a few loud grunts and a few tears.

"Yes, Becca, I am alright. But I am more concerned for you, are you alright?" She nodded as she feared she wouldn't be able to get another word out. Alan ordered the guards to leave and to get a drink for them both. A couple of minutes later, a guard returned with a glass of water and a tea for Alan. Walking back over to the seat beside her bed, Alan handed her the drink as she stared at his bloodied face. Placing the tea on the bedside cabinet, he pulled a handkerchief from within his pocket and wiped his face clean to then watch Rebecca down the entire glass of water.

"I guess that was needed." He said with a light chuckle as she exhaled, a satisfied expression gracing her face.

"Indeed, how did I get here? I ran away."

"I found you, on the border actually. I was so worried Becca, don't ever, ever do that again! The guards caught a dark form on the CCTV cameras and I knew it was you. You didn't even leave a note to explain why you left. Why? Why did you go? You clearly weren't prepared for it."

Staring at him, she didn't realise that she would affect him to become like this. His voice held a sad tone but also a slightly enraged tone. It frightened her, she didn't know he would ever get angry with her though she completely understood why he was at the current moment in time.

"Alan, I am nothing but a burden to you, I cause you to worry, to get hurt and cause un-necessary disturbances in your once peaceful life. I cause nothing but havoc for you and I wanted you to return to how you were without me causing a pain for you. Alan, without me you would be so much better off, you wouldn't have to worry, you could continue your acting and show career in complete tranquillity without me. Do you understand what I am trying to say?" She pleaded with tears streaming down her face and occasionally voice breaks here and there.

"Yes I understand but I can't see a life without you in it. I have lived so long without you in my life, and now that you're in it I don't want you out of it, ever. I need you, with all the drama you bring. I am happy to be with you even if it will cost me my life, at least I would be fighting for you. My idea of tranquillity is to be with you in happiness without the fear of you being hunted or you fearing anything. We will remove Ronald one way or another. And I will be there to help you through every step of the way Rebecca, because that is love for you. I love you Rebecca, now and always forever, till the very end of time." Alan smiled as Rebecca let out a whimper then lunged forward off the bed and in to his arms sobbing in to the crook of his neck.

"Oh Alan, I love you too."
