Even though I didn't know if I should trust the man, I had no other choice. If he really knew where Hanzo is and how we can save him, then I didn't care about anything else. The man and I decided to go to a quiet corner of the garden to discuss our plan. But before that I still had a few questions. "How do you know Hanzo is in danger? And how do you know where he is?" I asked. If he wanted me to trust him then those were the answers he owed me at least for now. "Hanzo was looking for me and probably assumed that I belonged to an organization with which I actually have nothing to do. He wanted to make sure that nobody threatened you anymore and that you were safe. So he did made his way to a Talon base. Now that he's not back, you can probably guess what happened." I was shocked to hear all of this. Just the thought of Hanzo going there alone, putting himself in danger for me, was more than hard to swallow. I tried to gather my thoughts, and only now did I realize that we could end up like Hanzo if we tried to free him. "How do you actually know that?" I asked after a while to make sure the man wasn't lying to me.
"I work for an organization and my job was to find out everything about Hanzo so we can destroy the Shimada clan once and for all. I was looking for some documents when you surprised me. Because I was supposed to be watching Hanzo, I knew where he is now." Now a few things became clear to me. I could understand why people were trying to destroy Hanzo's clan, and I knew there were always people who would try. But I never thought that one of these people would help me to free Hanzo. But I should be grateful because without him, I would never see Hanzo again. "Do you already have a plan how to get in and out of the base?" I asked him and to my astonishment the man nodded. "We're sneaking in tonight, according to my observations, the base is less guarded at night and the guards are inattentive, but we can't prevent a few fights. So I hope you can fight.". I nodded and went into the house to get my katana and then go back to the man. "That's a nice katana, where did you get that from?" the man asked me, holding out his hand to take the it. "Hanzo gave it to me." I said, watching the man look at it. He examined it from every side until he finally handed it back to me. "Obviously he put a lot of emphasis on you being able to defend yourself well." he then said and I could tell from his voice that he was pretty relieved about it.
We decided to train a little more until the sun slowly started to set. The sky turned orange-red and I knew we didn't have much time left before we had to leave. I was a little afraid of what might happen and tried to calm myself by looking at the beautiful colors of the sky. I wanted to get this all over with as quickly as possible and finally know that Hanzo was safe again. I was snapped out of my thoughts when the man tapped me on the shoulder. "We have to go." he said softly and headed towards the exit of the garden. I followed him, albeit hesitantly. I wanted Hanzo to be safe again, but I was afraid of how he might react when he sees me. But that didn't matter at first, after all his life was more important, wasn't it?
We made our way to the base. It was a pretty long way and I was worried that we might not arrive in time, but after a while we finally saw the base only a few meters away. We sneaked our way into the base and I followed him step by step hoping we would go as unnoticed as possible. But after a short time we were surrounded by guards. The man and I stood back to back and I knew there were only two ways this fight could end. So I gave it my all, I remembered everything Hanzo had taught me. I paid attention to the enemy's every step, parrying attacks as best I could and little by little we struck down one attacker after the other. But I was careless for a second. I turned around when I suddenly felt a sharp pain in the lower left abdomen. I looked down and saw that someone had stabbed me in the stomach. Blood stained my clothes a dark red, and I clutched my wound trembling as I looked the perpetrator in the eye. I fell to the ground, before the attacker could damage me further, the cyborg dealt with him quickly and skillfully. Only then did he see that I was hurt and kneel on the floor in front of me. "Oh god, I'm so sorry. That shouldn't have happened!" he said worried, sounding like he blamed himself for it. For a brief moment I felt like he was someone familiar who cared a lot for me, but that couldn't be. "Let me see..." he said as he carefully removed my hand from the wound. He looked at it carefully and cautiously before helping me up off the floor. He supported me with one arm so I could walk better. I grabbed his shoulder with one hand and gripped my katana tightly with the other. Only a few more steps separated me from Hanzo and that was all that made me go further. But each step became much more painful, and made my wound ache with stinging pain. I hissed briefly when the man accidentally brushed his hand over the wound. He looked at me briefly and put his hand somewhere else, realizing what had happened.
"Just a little longer we are nearly there." The man said while he supported me and helped me walk. Again and again I lacked the strength to keep myself upright, which is why I slumped to the ground from time to time. But he kept me going, he encouraged me to keep going. "I think I'm getting dizzy.." I murmured as he pulled me through a door and closed it behind him. When the light went on, I jumped out of shock and dropped my katana on the floor, so that a loud clatter could be heard across the room. Tears immediately welled up in my eyes. Hanzo was chained up, covered in bruises and blood, but he seemed alive since I could hear his heavy breathing. With all my strength I tried to run to him as fast as possible, holding my wound and clenching my teeth to endure the pain. "Y/n wait a minute!" said the man as he watched me as I was almost at Hanzo with the last of my strength. That was the first time Hanzo looked up and he gave me a horrorfied look. "Y/n..." I heard him say as I fell to my knees to hug him. He hissed in pain when I accidentally touched one of his wounds.
I leaned back a bit to meet his eyes and I could tell straight away that he didn't know how to react to seeing me here. He looked me up and down to make sure I was really there. "You're hurt..." he said weakly, and yet I could hear all his worries. I put my hands on his face and I couldn't stop my tears when I saw all the little cuts on his face. "I'll get you out of here...We'll get you out of here safely." I said sobbing as I gently caressed his face with my thumbs. "I told you not to follow me." he admonished me, but I couldn't care less. Only after a while did the man behind us, who had been watching our reunion the whole time, speak up. "I don't like to bother you, but we have to get out of here before we all end up like this.". Hanzo looked past me, only now seeming to notice the other person in the room. "Why are you here? Why are you helping her after you broke into our house and threatened her?" Hanzo asked immediately and I noticed how he pulled on the chains to get to the man. "I don't work for who you think I am. And I thought your wife could use your brother's help." As Hanzo and I understood his words, I felt my heart sink to my stomach. I looked at Hanzo who was staring at him with wide eyes. "Genji...That's not possible." Hanzo said with a low grunt and Genji took a few steps towards him. "I don't understand...What happened to you?" I asked when I finally caught myself. I had suspected for a while that it was Genji helping me, but I could never figure out what happened to make him look like this. "You didn't say anything to her?" asked Hanzo and looked questioningly at his brother. "No, I think it's your job to tell her what you've done." Genji said coolly, undoing the chains that held Hanzo to this place. Hanzo immediately leaned himself with both hands on the ground. I put my hand on his shoulder to make sure he was okay. Hanzo watched his brother walk to the door. "Are you coming? We don't have much time left." Genji said and turned to us once more.
