Carl's POV:

We were all stood in Gabriel's church, the adults were discussing something.I wasn't really listening I was just holding Judith and making sure she was okay.

"Tyreese should stay here, help keep Judith safe." Sasha said.
Tyreese smiled. "Sure, you ever need me to watch her, need anything for her,I'm right here."
"I'm grateful for it,and everything else." Dad thanked him.

...

I was sat on one of the benches next to Judith while dad was crouched down next to me and whispering. "Listen,I don't trust this guy..." he whispered.
"Why?"
Dad looked at me and squinted his eyes, thinking. "Why do you trust him?" He asked. "Everybody can't be bad." I said.
Dad chuckled, looking down at the floor and then looked back up at me. "Well,I don't trust him. That's why he's coming with me.But he could have friends,so I need you to stay alert and help Tyreese protect Judith, okay?"
I nodded.

"Now,I need you to hear what I'm about to say." He widened his eyes and made sure I was listening. "You are not safe.No matter how many people are around or how clear the area looks,no matter what anyone says,no matter what you think, you are not safe." He said, making sure I understood every single thing he said.
"It only takes one second. One second and it's over.Never let your guard down, ever.
I want you to promise me." He said.
"I promise." I quietly spoke.
"Okay." He forced a smile and stood up.

"We'll be back soon."
"M'Kay."

Me and (Y/n) were outside now,the others were all inside the church.
I told them we were just taking a look around and that we would be fine.
We both had our guns and we were just walking around.

"It's been like an hour...Walking around is boring, you do know that?" (Y/n) had been moaning on about being outside ever since she stepped outside of the doors.
"Fresh air is good for you." I said.
"It's not like there isn't any air inside..." her sentence trailed off when she saw something. "Why'd you stop?" I asked.
When I saw what she was looking at she push past me and ran over to it.
There was a white bus, like a school bus but for a church.

"Come on!" (Y/n) quietly yelled.
I walked over and looked through the dusty windows while I walked past it.
"Do you think it still works?" She asked me.Is she for real?
"Even if it did work, you wouldn't be able to drive it." I jokingly scoffed and she rolled her eyes. "For the group, idiot." She sighed.

"Good job, guys." Rosita walked from behind the corner along with Abraham.
"I see you found us a new ride! Sweet." Abraham cheered and jogged over.
"I don't think it works anymore." (Y/n) shouted form inside the bus.She was now sat in the drivers seat acting like she knew everything about buses.
"That's a'right...It shouldn't be too hard trying to fix it." Abraham lifted the hood and probably around twenty moths flew out,he wafted them away with his hands and then (Y/n) came out of the bus
...
I stood staring at scratch marks on the windows of the church, something didn't seem right. The scratches were deep, like someone was trying to get in.

(Y/n) was around the back of the church, most likely looking at the weird ass sentence we found carved into the wall. "You'll burn for this."
————
(Y/n)'s POV:

I was trying to think of all of the different  scenarios that could've happened as to why there was "You'll burn for this." carved into Gabriel's wall.
What did he do? I knew he seemed a bit odd but not odd enough that he needs to be burned for what he has done. He must've done something pretty fucked up if he has to 'burn for jt'.

Rick and Carl came from around the corner and they were talking.
"...We don't know what happened, but whatever it is,we can handle it." Carl spoke.
Rick looked at me and then the letters carved into the wall. "Doesn't mean Gabriel's a bad guy for sure, but it means something." Carl said.
Rick leaned against the wall and sighed.
"We could always ask him about it,right? Or confront him?" I asked.
Rick shook his head which made me even more confused. "We'll wait, see if he try's anything first." That was Ricks response.
It seemed so fucking stupid to me.
