Coda

(Y/n)'s POV:

Yelling.
We heard yelling coming from outside and banging on the doors.
"Please! Let me in!"
"They're close! Please!"

"That's Gabriel..." I furrowed my brows and we all practically jumped up and rushed to the door.
"Don't leave me out here!
Carl! Michonne! (Y/n)!"
"I had to see it,I know now! Let me live with it!"

Carl was trying to remove the barricades on the doors and I joined him by holding my foot against the door and pulling on the planks of wood.
"Please let me in!"
"We're trying,shut up! You're drawing more attention!" I shouted.He really was drawing more attention and we didn't need that right now.
"Get back..." Michonne said.
She had an axe in her hands,she hesitated at first but eventually she swung it over her shoulder and straight into the wood.
"Help! Help me!"
The wood was slowly breaking away and Carl had his gun ready. "Help me!"
Michonne broke the last pieces of wood from the doors and swung them open.
"Come on!" Carl yelled.

Walkers were now breaking into the church.Carl tried shooting at them but that wasn't enough,there were way to many.
Michonne grabbed her sword and got in position,holding it in the air and waiting for the walkers to get closer.
She sliced two walkers heads clean off and jabbed the next in the temple.
Soon there was way to many,we couldn't handle them on our own.
"The rectory,come on!" Gabriel yelled.
We all raced through the door and into the small room.Michonne and Gabriel were trying to keep the door shut with a chair.

I noticed planks missing from the floor.
"That's how I got out.Crawl under to the back.Just go,take the little one and go." Gabriel almost whispered.
We all hesitated at first but then Michonne took Judith off of her back and handed her to Carl.

I got down into the hole first,already having my knife out.I started crawling when I heard Michonne telling us to wait for her once we got out.It's not like I wasn't going to,I'm sure Carl wouldn't either.

I reached the end and I stood up.
"Here." I offered to take Judith while Carl crawled out from underneath the church.
I took her and we waited for them.
Carl got up and had his gun ready,looking around us making sure that there wasn't any Walkers.Michonne crawled out and not far behind her Gabriel.
"I can't run anymore." Gabriel cried.
"We're not running." Michonne said.

We ran around to the front of the church.
Stabbing our knifes into the skulls of the walkers that were stuck on the metal sticks outside.
Michonne and Carl ran for the doors,closed them and started nailing it shut with more wood,Michonne tied her belt around the two handles.The walkers hands kept breaking through more and more.

"Where'd you go?" Michonne asked Gabriel. "The school.I had to see.I had to know." He sighed.
A chip of wood went flying from the door,a walkers face was visible.
We all slowly backed up.
"It's not going to last long." I whispered.
"No shit." Carl whispered back,Michonne would've most likely said something about him swearing but didn't because of the situation we were in.

"Where do we go?" Gabriel asked quietly.
The wooden plank fell from the door.
I held onto the gun that was still sitting in my holster.

We all heard a vehicle approaching.
Was it Rick and everyone else? No.
It was a red firetruck.
The firetruck drove straight into the steps at the door making a way better barricade then wooden planks.
I saw red hair and a well trimmed moustache.It was Abraham.That meant everyone else was there too.I raced up.
"(Y/n) wait!.." Michonne yelled but quickly stopped when she saw who was getting out of the truck and she raced along with me.

Glenn being the first person I was close to I jumped at him,pulled him into a hug and grinned. "You guys are back!" I cheered. "What about the cure?" Michonne asked.
"Eugene lied." Glenn sighed.
Our smiles quickly faded. "-he can't stop it.Washington isn't the end."
I watched Michonne roll her eyes.
"Where is everybody?" Glenn asked.

Michonne looked like she just remembered some sudden,awsome news.And she did.She slowly walked over to Maggie."Beth's alive."

Maggie had a gaped mouth and tears were brewing up in her eyes.
"She's in a hospital in Atlanta." Michonne said. "Do we know which one?" Maggie asked. "Grady Memorial."
Maggie grew a smile and turned to Glenn.
She jumped into his arms and started tearing up even more. "Oh my god!" She sighed in relief.
"Let's blow this joint,go save your sister." Tara grinned.Maggie laughed and dried her tears.

We all got into the firetruck and drove off,leaving the church.I noticed Gabriel practically waving a goodbye to the now walker-infested building.

We patiently waited outside of the hospital.It felt strange being in Atlanta,it was the closest city to home...or what was home.

Maggie's smile was only growing bigger and bigger.I was happy for her.
We all had our guns ready.Body's of walkers everywhere.

Rick walked out of the door.Maggie lowered her gun waiting for Beth.Rick was shaking his head though.Behind him was Sasha,then Tyreese and Carol.

Then,Daryl and Beth.

Daryl exited the building,carrying Beth in his arms.She wasn't moving at all.
Maggie dropped her gun,collapsed,hitting the floor with a shrieking scream.Glenn fell with her,comforting her.

"BETH!" She wailed.

My hand moved to my mouth,covering it.
The tears that I was trying to keep in,blurring my vision.We all froze,watching Daryl carry her.Noah was behind them looking down at the floor and never once looking up.
