Off My Chest

They started driving and it started getting a little dark. He was growing antsy. From el's statement it sounded like if they didn't find a place soon everyone would die.

El was asking why mike had so many bruises, and mike said they got into a small fight.

Small.

El left it at that after Mike explained that it was his fault and Will didn't say anything.

He looked over to Boris who looked a million miles away. "Hey, something wrong?" He nudges Boris a bit. Whispering.

"Nothing just about father." Boris answers.

He's heard about boris' father a few times and seen Boris come to school with black eyes.

And other bruises but never saw it happen, though Boris sometimes says that his dad came home while they were 'hanging out', really just drunkenly making out.

Then tells him to hide, and the entire time he hears grunts and blows being hit.

He hated Boris' dad and with a burning passion.

"Does he notice I am missing? And if he does, does he care?" Boris starts spiraling, it's all hitting him like a train, he hasn't had anything to drink or smoke under all the surveillance Jonathon has. His anxiety is through the roof. So he can't get his mind off it.

Does his father notice and/or care? Should he
Tell Will what was supposed to happen? How would Will react? Would he understand or would he hate him for the rest of his life?

Fuck it.

"William, there is something I have to tell you, I
have been meaning to tell you this." He says in a dead tone. He has been dreading this moment for a while now.

"What is it, Borya?" Will says sort of startled by the dead tone only hearing it when he was first told to hide from boris' dad. He saw Boris heaving like he ran a marathon.

"This may change how you think of me." Boris says fully expecting Will to explode.

"Nothing could change the way I see you." Will reassures.

"I was supposed to go to Russia today with my father, and I was going to tell you the day of, until all this happened." Boris finally let off his chest.

His face started getting wet. He's crying. Crying? Is that what this is?

Oh-

Oh.

It finally sank in after a second. Boris, his Borya, the love that loved him back, his first boyfriend, was supposed to be gone today. Will thought

Lost somewhere in Russia.

The small smile he was wearing five seconds ago?

Gone.

"What, wait, you were supposed to go back to Russia today?" He only gets a meek nod back. "Well I'm glad all this happened to us now, also why would you think I would change the way I saw you only for something your father was going to do?"

"I don't know the last time I told a person I was leaving they yelled at me and called me an asshole for leaving them." Boris answered truthfully, tears silently falling out in fat rolls.

(This isn't Theo by the way, just some random girl who caught feelings, think of it like Kotku, for the fellow book readers. :') )

"Well, I'm not like whatever asshole did that." Will says in a matter of factly tone.

"I know you are not but I was still scared of how you would react. Last time was scary and saddening." Boris is still whispering looking down at his feet.

But the van was loud but not loud enough to drown his voice out, though enough for no one to listen in unless they really tried, but sometimes it sounded like the phone cord shifted a little bit so it sounded cut out.

Or if you had a bad signal on your walkie-talkie.

"Whoever yelled at you and made you sad, I will beat their ass." Will says flexing his arm showing the little amount of meat on his arm, muscles and plenty of scars.

He gets a satisfied hum back, Boris still looking down at his feet.

They suddenly stopped.

"We're here brochachos."

It's a pizza boy's, like the place Argyle worked at, in Nevada.
