Unexpected

Fought.

He felt hands grab him. He opened his shut eyes. He gasped as he shot up. "William! I knew you were alive!" He heard. Boris was at his head as he dragged him onto his lap, he saw his mom in front of him, Hopper, El, everyone. "When did I pass out?" He croaked out, his throat particularly parched. "After we killed him, " El said. He stood up. No longer light headed.

"He's gone." He laughed, "yeah, he's gone." his mom laughed as well. He didn't know why, but this caused him to laugh more. "He's gone! I'm free!" He hugged his mom, she knew, at least, she had to be there. All of it, when he was possessed. "Yes, baby, you're free!" She laughed, this caused tears to rush to his eyes, the reassurance that he was in fact gone and he was free, rid of him . He cried.

"Baby, we have to go soon and get back to the top land, not upside-down. I kinda want to shower." She joked. "Yeah, me too." He joked along.

He grabbed his rifle, Boris had already grabbed the duffle bag. He felt weird. He grabbed a soda can. He put it on a trash can lid, and he tried to crush it with his powers. It didn't work. Lifting it, neither, his powers no longer worked.

"William! We are about to leave now!" Boris exclaimed as he followed the group, he ran over, "what were you doing?" Boris asked. "Nothing important." He replied. "I never got to see, what happened to ruby?" He already knew the answer, but he wanted to know, if maybe by a light sliver of hope, she survived.

"She, um, flaked? Away? As well as her brethren." Boris replied. Sad look on his face. His heart panged at that. He knew it. He still put his hopes up. He felt a little but empty at that. He grew attached to her weird ways.

He didn't talk for the rest of the walk to the rope they tied to their world, he didn't even talk as they were lifted up by El. He sat in the van as he looked outside as they drove back to hopper's old cabin

"My new powers are gone" he whispered to himself. El heard it. "They're gone? Oh, Will, I'm sorry, I know you feel empty, and then Ruby is gone? But, you'll find a way to live without the powers, and hey, at least you were born without the powers, you only had them for a short while, maybe, you'll get used to it faster." She shared.

She was right, he only had them for a short while, he knew how to live without powers. He will get used to it, if it takes a month or ten, he'll be ready.

He got a sudden dizzy spell. "Woah." He put a hand on his head.

"William, are you okay? Do you have heat or are you tired, dizzy?" Boris asked as he put a hand on his forehead. "Yeah I'm fine, just a little tired, probably just need to sleep it off." He replied. Boris then put a hand on the back of his head and put it on his shoulder. "Sleep. I want you to ' sleep it off' " he mimicked the way he said it. "Fine." He laughed. He leaned into Boris as he got more comfortable. Boris was boney. There was no nice way to put it, sure he wasn't horribly stick like, but he hardly had any meat on his figure. So his shoulder was a little uncomfortable. He fell asleep anyways.
