Chapter 1: Where it all begins

THOMAS' POV

I bump my head against something hard and cold as I wake up and covered in sweat. I try to get on my feet, but my knees fail on me and I collapse, ending up on the cold, metal ground once again. I try to calm myself, try to think of things that relax me. But it's black in my head. I can't seem to remember anything that makes me happy... And that's when a name pops into my head. Something in me says that it's not my name, but someone else's. Who's name is it? Why can't I remember this person?

Everytime I think of this name, a warm feeling makes its way through my body and I forget the box, the darkness and the fear that is raging inside of me. Just when I start to feel relaxed, the cold metal prison comes to a halt with a shock. I didn't even realise it was moving until then. I cover my eyes as the ceiling of the box splits and a bright light lits up the insides of the small, metal cage. I lower my hands, let my eyes adjust to the unexpected beam of light and find myself in some elevator, and a large group of boys is staring down at me.
