Back at their base camp, the group of Masters looked at Masters Windu and Drallig quizzically. Yoda: "Tell us again how survived you did, Masters ?" Windu: " After Palpatine blasted me out of that window, I was in indescribable agony. But I still had just enough willpower left to catch hold of a ledge twenty stories down. The impact nearly ripped my shoulder off. With no hand, sever blood loss, and my left arm useless, I knew I had to get back to the Temple to warn them and for medical treatment. I returned to the Temple via the undercroft tunnels and went to a hidden medical facility specifically for High Council Masters. I was put into a deep sleep and did not awaken until after Order 66. I found Master Drallig barely alive and took him and his shoulder to the same facility, where the med droids re-attached his shoulder." The conversation then shifted to Master Drallig. The old Master shifted, his face shadowed in the flickering light of the fire. His visage was momentarily likened to that of a gruesome carving, face scarred by years of combat instruction and lined even more by years of worry. "As you know, Shaak and myself were placed in charge of the Temple when Masters Windu, Fisto, Kolar, and Tinn set out to apprehend Palpatine. We placed the Temple under lockdown and rallied the Masters, Knights and older Padawans. We then evacuated as many Younglings as possible through the sewers under escort of a Knight or Master. What fools we were. The clones had anticipated such a thing and were prepared. To my knowledge, very few, if any escaped that way. We sealed the entrances to the sewers off, and rallied the remaining Younglings in the High Council Chamber and Room of A Thousand Fountains. Serra Keto, myself and countless other Masters were struck down defending them by Ana..... Darth Vader when he attacked the Temple. Twenty others may have survived on Coruscant. Those that made it off Coruscant... maybe five or six. We then hopped from planet to planet looking for survivors."
Rahm Kota: "We now know that we cannot return to Coruscant." Obi-wan: "Master Drallig, I know this will be difficult for you, but could you please tell me what you sensed of Anakin when you dueled him ? I must know whether there is still any hope.". "Obi-wan, the only way I know to describe what I felt is that he was a whirlwind of emotions, mainly regret and sorrow. He did not do what he did out of anger. He did it out of nessecity. He no longer had a shield over his mind. It was as of he no longer cared what we realized, which, I realized that he did not care anymore. He also felt fear and anger, directed toward someone..... a vast, suffocatingly powerful dark presence."
