Sakshi just stepped into her home to hear her MIL shouting from upstairs.

Raji:"Orey.....eat something and have medicines....."

"I don't want anything, Amma.....let me sleep" came a heavy voice from inside.....followed by sniffing.

Sakshi frowned and quickly ascended the stairs. She saw her MIL, Neela, Shanti ma standing outside the door. Sunny was bending and peeping through the key whole.

Sunny:"Bro, I can see that you're not sleeping and playing video games.....Rajamma is waiting for you since one hour.....come out."

Prabha:"I will kick your b*tt, If you don't back out from that key hole." Sunny backed off immediately. "I am not having those medicines, they're bitter than your Rajamma's special kakarakay(bitter-guard) juice." They can hear his wet cough from outside.

Neela:"Bava, akka will be here any minute.....what will you do, then?"

Prabha:"Let her come.....I will handle her but I am not coming out."

Sakshi shook her head.....

Last night her deep sleep was disturbed by heavy coughing. She opened her eyes to see her husband shivering beside her and coughing heavily.

Sakshi:"Pupsu....." she touched him and felt his body is burning.....she touched his fore-head with the back of her hand. She got up immediately as it's so hot.....She got up to get thermometer. Once she saw the reading she got worried and cursed herself for taking him out and letting him drench under the rain.

He opened his eyes when she tried to wake him.....but he is not fully in his senses. She made him swallow the medicine and covered him till his shoulders before going to kitchen.

After few mins she walked in with a water bowl and a cloth. She kept on wiping with wet cloth to reduce his temperature.

Sakshi woke up to the sound of the thunder.....

She checked Prabha once again.....though fever is not under control it's better than night.

He was still sleeping peacefully.....she thought of taking leave but her MIL assured her that she will take care of him.....so she left to hospital not disturbing him.

Sakshi:"What's going on here?" she asked them.

Raji:"Sakshi, Thank god you came....." Raji walked towards Sakshi....."Look what your husband is doing. He locked himself in the room and not eating anything or having medicines.....his temperature increased again."

At a time she was both worried and getting angry at his stubbornness.....

Sakshi:"Prabha.....open the door."

Prabha:"I won't." he said still with that heavy voice and sniffing. They can hear him coughing now and then.

Sakshi:"Pupsu, stop being childish. Open the door."
