Phil's POV
We closed the door and ran, heard gunshots and soldiers following us, so after a while of being on the run we arrived at the station
"Spores, put on your masks!" Said Joel
"They're here" Said Ellie clinging to my arm
"How the hell can you breathe this stuff?" Joel asked Ellie, who was not wearing a mask
"I wasn't lying to you"
"Okay, you take the one on the left, I'll take the one on the right" Said Joel looking at me and we did so
Once outside the station, Joel sat on a rock, Ellie and I approached and Ellie said
"I'm sorry about Tess, I didn't know"
"Look, this is how things work, don't remind me of her for any reason. First: everyone keeps their stories to themselves; Second: don't talk to anyone about the fact that you are immune, they might try to take you out; Third: do as I say, that goes for you too Phil okay?"
"Okay" We replied
"Well, there is a person I know a few blocks from here, he will know how to help us"
"Okay, let's go then" I said and we set off
--- Time Skip ---
Joel was trying to free himself from a trap, I was shooting infected people and Ellie was trying to free Joel
"On your ass and on your feet" Said a voice and we followed
We got to safety and I thought it might be Bill as he took off his mask
"You okay Bill?" Joel asked
"Are you all right? You come into my house, you dismantle my traps, you almost make me lose my shooting arm. Who are these people and why are they here?"
"You don't care about why we are here, you owe Joel some favours" Ellie said
"What is this? A joke?"
"I'll get straight to the point, I need a car" Said Joel
"Oh Joel needs a car? And what makes you sure that if I had one, I would give it to you?"
"You owe me"
"They're not worth that much"
"Actually they are"
Bill opened the door and I took Ellie's arm
"Come on" I said making her go in front of me.
"You, close the door" Bill said and so I did
Bill and Joel were getting weapons and Ellie wanted one too, but they wouldn't give it to her, so she came toward me
"I can't believe it" She said, but I wasn't listening at the time
"Hey? Phil?"
"Yes?"
"What's going on with you?"
"Nothing" I replied, looking down at the ground
"There's bound to be something, I'm not dumb"
I stayed silent and did not answer
"You can talk to me"
I sighed
"See, I can't stop thinking about the day we got lost, I thought I had lost everything"
"Everything? What do you mean?"
"That's right, everything. Ellie you were always my everything, I'm sorry I left you alone"
He saw that I was beginning to get emotional and hugged me
"Shh, it's okay, we are together now and I don't want to lose you again"
"Thank you"
"What would you do without me?"
"I don't know" I replied, giggling
After that he saw a stack of magazines and picked up a couple of them, putting them in his backpack
"Hey, leave my stuff alone!" Said Bill
"I'm just tidying up this fucking mess"
"No! Leave it alone!"
Ellie turned to Bill and gave him the middle finger, I couldn't take it and laughed along with Joel
