Phil's POV

"This place smells awful!" I said

"Well you have a point" Henry replied

"Phil, Ellie, let's check that part out" Said Joel

We arrived at a door, I tried to open it.

"Shit, it's locked!" I said

"There's a shaft up there, if you help me up I can go through the other side and open it" Ellie replied

"Okay, but open it" I said helping her up

She went over to the other side and opened the door

"Voila!"

"Ellie, come here" I told her

"What is it?"

"Here, you'll need these" I handed her a box of ammunition I had just found, they weren't for my gun but they were for hers

"Oh thanks, but how do I reload?" she asked me with an innocent face

"Look, it's simple, just give me the gun"

"Okay, here"

"Press this little button and the magazine will come out, once reloaded you push it back in until you hear a click"

"Okay, then what?"

"Then you pull the slide back and let it go, to shoot I think you know how to do it"

"Not really"

"That's pretty simple too; you take the safety off and hold it like this, putting one hand underneath to get more grip, then you aim and fire" I pulled the trigger and the gun simply made a click, not being loaded

"Good, I think I got it"

"Perfect, now reload it, put the safety back on and keep it holstered"

"What would I do without you" She said

"Well you certainly wouldn't shoot" I said, chuckling

"True"

Henry called us, saying he had found something, we followed him and arrived in the actual sewer, there was a lot of water and on the other side was a generator

"Eh guys you know I can't swim right?" Said Ellie

"I can't swim either" Sam added

"You two should really learn how to swim" I said to tease them a little

"Ah fuck off" Ellie replied

"Well Phil, you and I need to swim over there and fire up the generator" Said Joel patting me on the back

"Well, let's do it in style" I said and jumped into the water

I went to turn on the generator, while Joel looked for a platform for Ellie and Sam to get on, I jumped back into the water and helped Joel

"All right guys, jump in" I said and they climbed onto the platform

We took them to the other side and lowered them down

"Boy do you guys weigh in!" Said Joel

After the generator we continued on and came to what had been someone's hiding place

"Hello?" Said Ellie before kicking a ball to Sam

"Did you see that? I saved it!" Said Sam excitedly

"You have talent kid, you should be a soccer player" I replied

"Okay guys, don't mess around" Said Henry

We continued on and came to a gate, I tried to open it but a concrete block fell, dividing us into two groups: me and Joel on one side while Ellie, Henry and Sam on the other

"Phil!" Ellie said

"Oh fuck, guys run!" I said seeing clickers going toward them

"Oh shit!" Said Ellie and they ran

I turned to Joel

"We have to find a way around"

We went into a room and I found a shotgun, loaded it with cartridges that came with it

"You are going to help me" I said, slinging the shotgun

We went through a children's area and took out some infects, at one point I heard Ellie screaming

"Ellie?"

"PHIL, RUN!"

I turned around and saw Henry, Sam and Ellie running away with infects behind them. We entered what looked like a room of lockers, I was trying to catch my breath.

"Oh shit!"

I felt Ellie hug me from behind

"Are you okay?" She asked

"Still in one piece"

Henry found a shaft leading beyond a door that was blocked

"Sam go the other way" He pushed him to the other side

"Ellie go with Sam" I said pointing to Henry

"Not without you!"

"I'll be fine, go! Time is running out"

"Okay"

Ellie also passed by on the other side, in the process more infects arrived. After two long minutes they opened the door, allowing us through and closing it behind us

"Oh fuck! That was close!" I said, catching my breath

"Infects! Stay out! Thanks for the warning," Ellie said, reading a sign on the door

We all rested a little and resumed our way
