Phil's POV

I woke up and Ellie was still on top of me, hugging me and sleeping with her head on my shoulder

"Ellie" I whispered to her and she opened her eyes

"Yes?"

"We have to get up, it's time" I said kissing her forehead

"Okay, five more minutes"

"Alright, I'll go check on the others"

I got up and left her to rest, since it was a little cold I put my sweatshirt on her. I opened the door and greeted Joel and Henry

"Good morning, boys"

"Oh good morning Phil" Henry replied

"Good morning, where is Ellie?" Joel asked

"I woke her up but she said she wanted to keep sleeping so I let her rest" I replied

"Sam instead?" I asked

"He also wanted to sleep more so I left him in bed" Henry replied

"If you want you can go wake him up" He added

"Okay, let's see"

I opened Sam's door

"Sam? Are you awake?" I asked, but all of a sudden he jumped on me trying to bite me

Sure enough, he had been bitten and turned during the night. I kicked him and threw him to the floor, then closed the door

"What's going on?" Joel asked

"Sam! He turned!"

"Oh no, this can't be happening!" Henry exclaimed

"You take care of it Henry, otherwise I will" Said Joel taking his gun, but a bullet left from Henry's gun disarmed him

"Sam is my fucking brother!"

"Not anymore!" I replied

"But- I can't-"

"Either you do it, or I do it! Decide!" I said

"Oh fuck!"

Henry shot Sam, taking him down

"Sam- This is all your fault!" Henry pointed his gun at us

"Hey, calm down now!" Said Joel, making Henry aim at him

"Don't take a step or I'll shoot you! Only yours, this is all your fault!" He continued to wail in panic

I couldn't take it anymore so in less than a second I pulled my gun out of its holster and with one shot I took out Henry, who fell to the ground

"Phil!" Joel exclaimed

"It wasn't safe to deal with him, he would have shot you, he was delirious!"

Joel sighed

I went to Sam's room and to make sure he wasn't still alive I shot him, then left the room

"They're both okay now"

Ellie came in to Joel and me, opened the door and saw Henry on the floor

"What the fuck happened?"

"Sam turned" I replied

"Oh fuck-"

"Henry instead?" He added

"Henry was delirious, threatening us by pointing his gun at us, saying it was all our fault"

"And then what?"

"It wasn't safe to deal with him, he was delirious with panic, so Phil took him out" Joel replied
