Phil's POV
--- Time Skip ---
We were walking for a while, the weather was nice, it was sunny but not too hot
"Ellie? Ellie?" Joel called out to her, but she was a little distracted
"What is it?" She answered
" See this?" Said Joel pointing to a sign
"Hospital, we are close then"
"It would be the perfect day to sit around and relax for a while, maybe even someone playing guitar" I said
"Yeah, but it's not the time" Joel replied
Ellie came up from behind and took my hand
"What's going on?" She asked
"I was thinking-" I replied looking at the ground
"Yes?"
"After this is over, where would you like to go?" I then asked her
"I would go back to Jackson, but only if you come too"
"Where you go, I go" I replied
In the process we found a tunnel that would take us to the hospital, so we decided to go through it
"Does that sound like a good idea?" I asked
"Do you have any others?" Ellie answered
"Unfortunately, no"
"Then we will have to fit this one"
"Of course" I replied
We arrived at some strong water currents
"Oh fuck!" Said Ellie
"What?" I asked
"You know what's wrong"
"Oh that's right, you can't swim, you really should learn you know?"
"Very funny"
We jumped over coaches that were stuck in the middle of the water, so we didn't have to swim. At one point I jumped, but as I landed, the bus window couldn't hold my weight and I ended up inside the bus
"Phil!" Ellie yelled
The bus began to move, so she held out her hand to help me out
"Ellie, what the fuck are you doing? Get to safety!" I said
"Take my hand!"
The bus crashed and all three of us ended up inside, we were underwater. I looked around to see where the others were, then my heart froze
'ELLIE!" I thought, since I couldn't speak underwater
Ellie was unconscious and underwater, so I swam to her and picked her up, trying to get her to shore. Once out of the water I tried to revive her
"No no no no!" I said
"Hands up!" Some voices said
They were soldiers patrolling that area
" She's not breathing!" I said, ignoring their orders
"I said stop!" They knocked Joel to the ground and then me
Joel's POV
I woke up with a terrible headache; I was in a hospital room
"What the fuck?" I said
"Welcome to the Fireflies" A voice said to me
I turned around and saw that it was Marlene
"Sorry, they didn't know it was you"
