Chapter 1 - We Need New Heroes

WASHINGTON D.C.

Six months after the blip, Becca gets out of the car and enters the Air and Space Museum. Sofia is on her phone messaging Bucky. "Sofia!" shouts Becca from a few yards away.

Sofia turns around, smiles then puts away her phone. "Becca!" she says as they hug for a few seconds. "Oh, it is so good to see you."

"It is good to see you too."

They then walk around toward Steve's extended exhibit and talk.

"So tell me, how's everything going? I heard that Loki is the senator for the New Asgard now."

"Yeah, he has. Though many are unsure about the idea, Loki's proven to them that he has changed, so he's now a senator for Valkyrie."

"That's good. Sarah?"

"She's good. Steve watches her during his week, and if Loki can't watch her."

"Oh, that's nice. How is that going with both Loki and Steve being her dads?"

"Good. When I told Loki about Sarah, I thought he would be mad, but he isn't. Loki loves her as if she were his own."

"Oh, that's good. And Steve is adjusting to fatherhood well?"

"He loves every minute of it."

"And you? Are you back working on missions for the FBI or CIA?"

"Actually, I work for the Special Forces Now," Becca replied.

"So do I!" Sofia replied as she stopped and faced Becca with a smile.

"What?! Since when?"

"For about five months. Natasha, Yelena, and I work together."

"What? Why didn't I know that?"

"When did you start?"

"Last week."

They laugh and hear a voice from a few feet away shouting, "Ladies." They turn and stop and smile as they see Rhodes coming toward them.

"Rhodey!" says Sofia.

"Hello, Sofia. Rebecca. Or should I say, Mrs. Laufyeson?" The women chuckle. "How are you two?"

"I'm fine, thank you," Becca replied.

"How was your honeymoon? I heard that Loki took you to Vanaheim?"

"Yes, it was Thor's gift. Best gift, I believe."

"And you and Bucky?" Rhodey asks Sofia.

"We're still planning on getting married in a few months," Sofia replied.

"That's great. Congratulations."

"Thank you. It's a long process. I still have a lot to do before the big day." Sofia and Rhodes nod their heads as they smile.

"It was nice for Tony to pay for your wedding."

"Didn't he pay for yours as well?" asked Rhodes.

"He did, but did it because he offered to since Sofia and I have been there for Morgan," Becca replied.

From behind, they hear, "Well, I'm sure you will tell me all about it at our lunch today." They all turn to see Natasha standing behind them. Becca smiles, hugs her, and says, "Nat! It's so good to see you! I've missed you!"

"I've missed you too! All of you."

They smile. Rhodey steps forward and asks, "I thought you were in Russia on a mission for -"
