Chapter 24 - Bucky and Sofia's Wedding

One week later, Sofia is getting ready for her wedding. Her dress covers her baby bump. Natasha, Becca, Shuri, and Yelena are helping her. Sofia takes a peep through the window and says, "Wow, even though there are not many people here, it's making me nervous." She turns to face them. "Are you sure I look okay?"

Becca replies, "Don't worry. You look beautiful."

There's a knock on the door. Sam enters and says, "Hey." He smiles as he gazes at Sofia. "Wow. You look absolutely beautiful."

"Thank you, Sam." Sam and Sofia hug each other. He kisses her on the cheek. "How is he?"

"He's nervous but fine."

They smile at each other. T'Challa enters and says, "I hate to interrupt, but it is time."

Everyone around Sofia smiles. They all then head out the door. Sofia walks to the window and sees Bucky standing in another room. He sees her and smiles at her. She smiles back. "Hey," says Steve. Sofia looks behind her and sees Steve and he gasps as she sees Steve standing there. Steve smiles at her.

"Steve," she says as she walks up to him and hugs him. "Hi. I'm glad you came." They let go of each other.

"Promised I wouldn't miss my best friend's wedding." Sofia smiles. "He also told me that you two are expecting."

"Yes."

"Congratulations."

"Thank you."

Steve glances at Sofia's baby bump and back at her. "A boy huh?"

"Yep."

"Oh wow," says Sam. "That's great. So have you picked out their names?"

Sofia replies, "Yes, Steven George Barnes."

Steve is surprised, happy, and speechless, "Wow...I...I don't know what to say. I'm honored."

"I thought that Steve was a perfect name because you meant so much to us. Especially to Bucky." Steve smiles and then hugs her once more.

"Well, we should probably get going," says Sam. "We don't want to keep everyone waiting."

"You're right," says Sofia.

Sam walks over, kisses her cheek again, and smiles. "See you out there."

"Okay." Sam leaves the room. Sofia exhales a deep breath.

Steve gestures his arm out to her and asks, "Ready?"

She smiles then takes his arm and says, "Ready." They then head to the door.

Outside, guests from both Bucky and Sofia's friends and family are sitting down and waiting. Mainly the Avengers team. Pepper sits with Happy next to Aunt May, who sits next to Peter. On the other side are Doctor Strange, Dr. Banner, Hawkeye, and his family, Rhodey, and Director Fury with Maria. And Alexie and Melina are sitting on the bride's side along with other Black Widows that Sofia knew. Bucky enters first and stands at the altar. Then Morgan Stark and Sarah are holding their flower baskets and throwing the petals. Wanda escorts them. They are all in awe.

Loki escorts Becca, Thor escorts Natasha, Sam escorts Yelena, and T'Challa escorts Shuri. Once they stand in their positions, T'Challa stands in the middle. T'Challa sees Steve and Sofia. He gestures to them to stand.

Everyone turns and gasps as well. Peter smiles. Bucky turns slightly and gasps as he sees his lovely bride escorted by his best friend. Steve and Sofia leave the house. Bucky smiles as tears are in his eyes. As they head to the altar, Steve notices Sofia slightly hyperventilating. He leans over and whispers, "You okay?"
