Chapter 18 - Bucky, Becca, and Sam vs John

After Walker flees the scene, police immediately surround the crime scene. Bucky is with his sister, Loki, and Sofia while Sam is trying to locate Walker. Once he has a lead, he shouts, "Bucky!" They all turn to look at him, suggesting that he found him.

Bucky nods then turns to his fiancée and says, "Sofia, I want you to go back with Loki. You'll be safer with him. Sam, Becca, and I have to take care of Walker."

"I know," Sofia replied, overwhelmed and emotional as she knows what he needs to do.

"I love you."

Sofia hesitates until Bucky kisses her. Once he lets go and looks at her once more. "Go," She pleaded. Bucky looks deep into her eyes and then he, Becca, and Sam chase after Walker. Sofia watches as she is uncertain of what will happen. Now that Walker is dangerous.

Meanwhile, somewhere on the outskirts of the city, Walker runs away and finds a place to hide to clear his thoughts as memories plague his mind. "Wasn't me!" says the Flagsmasher that he killed. Walker is hyperventilating as thoughts of Lemar rush through his mind and asks himself why. "You told me," Walker asks. "You didn't want me to go in. Why didn't I listen? You all right, man?"

In his mind, he remembers what Lemar told him, "This suit, it comes with expectations, brother."

Walker screams, "Why?"

"Look, John, I know you want this. I get it. You consistently make the right decisions in the heat of battle. Time to go to work."

Walker slows down his breathing. Sam, Becca, and Bucky stop a few inches away from Walker and stare at him. Walker grunts, "Time to go to work." He gets up and starts walking.

"Walker..." says Sam.

Walker looks up at them. "You guys should see a medic; you don't look so good."

"Stop, Walker."

He stops and faces them. "What? You saw what happened. You know what I had to do. I killed him because I had to! He killed Lemar!"

"He didn't kill Lemar, John," Bucky implied.

Walker Sighs. "Don't go down that road. Believe me, it doesn't end well."

"I'm not like you or your sister," Walker snapped. Bucky sighs.

"Listen, it was the heat of the battle," Sam replied. "Okay? If you explain what happened, they may consider your record. We don't want anyone else to get hurt. John..." They all watch him. "You gotta give me the shield, man."

Walker slowly looks up, smiling as he realizes what's happening. "Oh, so that's what this is," Walker implies. "You almost got me."

"You made a mistake."

"You don't wanna do this."

Bucky glances down for a moment, then he answers looking at Walker, "Yeah, we do."

Bucky, Walker, and Becca stare at each other for a moment and then they fight against each other. As they fight Walker, they notice the serum has made him stronger and faster. At first, Walker fights Sam and knocks him down. Then Bucky hits the shield repeatedly until Bucky holds Walker by his arms as he is trying total the shield away from him. But Walker moves around him, and Bucky breaks the beam in half.

Next, Walker kicks Sam, throws the shield, and Bucky throws him across the room until he hits a machine. Walker then runs to him and tries to task the shield away from him. They grunt as they fight over it. Walker yells, "Why are you making me do this? Why are you making me do this?" Walker then throws Bucky across the room. Bucky hits an electric box and falls to the floor, and is knocked out.
