Chapter 4 - Trouble Begins

Later that morning, Bucky and Sofia are still asleep. At that moment, Bucky's cell phone goes off. Groggy Bucky searches for his phone with his hand, picks it up, puts it by his ear, and says, "Hello?" Sofia wakes up to the sound of Becca talking on the line. He sits up and looks for the remote for their tv. "Whoa! Whoa! Slow down. What happened?"

Sofia sits up and asks, "Bucky, what's going on?"

Bucky flips a button on the remote, and immediately the news is on. They watch as the anchorman states, "We have received reports that the Gasel Bank was robbed by a terrorist organization last night in Switzerland."

Bucky and Sofia are watching the news and are shocked. Sofia gasps, "Oh my God."

On the other end, he listens to his sister. "Yeah, hold on. I'll put it on speaker." He puts her on speaker.

"Sofia," says Becca.

Sofia answers, "Becca, have you two heard anything from Sam, Steve, or Natasha about this?"

BECCA'S HOTEL ROOM

Loki and Becca are watching the news. Becca has the phone on speaker. "No, I haven't been able to reach Sam, but Steve said this is an anti-nationalist group's work," Becca replied.

"Do they know the damage?" asked Bucky.

"So far, only twenty people have been injured," Loki replied. "No severe casualties as far as the police reports go."

BUCKY'S APARTMENT

"How much did they take?" Bucky asks.

BECCA'S HOTEL ROOM

"At least over 1.5 million dollars," Becca replied.

BUCKY'S APARTMENT 

Bucky and Sofia gasped. "That's a lot of money," Bucky choked.

"That's not even half of it," Becca implied. "It turns out that this group has been hitting banks, pharmaceutical companies, and securing military bases for weapons for months. After they hit their targets, they give the money and supplies to the refugees in the GRC resettlement camps."

"So what, they're robbing the rich to provide for the homeless?"

"But then why would they raid military bases to get weapons if they are only concerned for the refugees?" Sofia asks.

"Maybe it isn't about the weapons, and it's about the refugees?" Loki replied.

"Wait, like making a statement about them or something?"

BECCA'S HOTEL ROOM

"It wouldn't surprise me," Becca comments.

BUCKY'S APARTMENT

There's a pause as Sofia and Bucky look at each other.

"Look," said Becca.

BECCA'S HOTEL ROOM

"Loki and I decided that we were going to D.C. and figure out what is going on. After being pardoned, I was given access to the case and provided some intel on it as a free agent. But while I'm there, I will see if anyone else knows about this."

"What about Sarah?" Asks Sofia.

"Steve is watching over her, and he and I both agreed that until we figure out what's going on, Sarah will stay with him."

"Does Sarah know?" Asks Bucky.

"Yes, we called her before we called you," Becca replied.
