Chapter 20 - Alone Time/ Sam's Advice

Sometime later, outside Sam's Sister's house, Sofia is sitting on the dock, watching the sunset. Face Timing Natasha and Yelena. "I heard about you and Bucky," says Natasha.

"Is it true?" asks Yelena.

"Yeah," Sofia replied, blushing.

Natasha and Yelena are sharing a FaceTime screen and cheering, "Yay!"

"Oh my God congratulations!" says Yelena.

"How far are you now?" asks Natasha.

"I'm ten weeks as of yesterday," Sofia replied.

Bucky is looking around for Sofia when he finds her at the dock—sitting in a chair. He smiles and slowly walks to her. "Wow," says Natasha.

"Wait a minute!" Yelena interrupts. "When did you find out that you were -"

"Before I went with Bucky to Munich, I felt that something was right because I was late and had morning sickness," Sofia replied. "So I went to a clinic and they told me."

"Oh, my god. And you fought against Walker, Karli, and all that while being pregnant? That's rather impressive. Dangerous and stupid but impressive. You took precautions, I hope."

Bucky stops as he listens to them talk. Sofia continues to defend herself. "Of course. I wore a bulletproof vest and wore it under everything. Even Bucky was surprised that I did it." He smiles as he is amused.

"So who found out first?" Natasha asks. "Did Bucky?"

Yelena replies, "No way. Men don't usually catch those things quite easily."

"Zemo did," Sofia added.

"Huh," Natasha sighs.

"Anyway, when I took the test and went to the clinic, I had Becca come with me, so she was the first I told. Then Loki found out, then Zemo, and then I told Bucky. After that, Bucky told Sam."

"Well, to be all honest, I thought you were when we were having drinks that night, and you weren't."

"Hey ladies," Bucky interrupted. Sofia turns around and smiles. He kneels to her to get in view with FaceTime.

"Bucky!" says Yelena.

"Congratulations!" says Natasha. "I'm so happy for you guys!"

Bucky sits behind Sofia and replies, "Thank you."

"So, Bucky," says Yelena. "Were you surprised?"

"Yelena, of course, he was!" Natasha interrupted. "What kind of question was that?"

Sofia and Bucky laugh as they see Natasha and Yelena are asking so many questions. "What I meant was, how did she tell you?"

Bucky and Sofia look at each other and then back at the phone. He simply answers, "She just...said it." They look at him confused; Sofia smiles, though knowing how it actually happened. "Anyway, I hate to cut you, ladies, off, but I would like to spend some time with my fiancé now."

"Okay, bye, guys," says Natasha. "Love you."

Yelena says, "Bye! Congratulations."

Sofia hangs up and puts it down by her side. Bucky wraps his arms around her. She asks, "So how was working on the boat with Sam?"

"Fine," Bucky replied. "It still needs some work. But it looks better."

"Good."

They smile at each other, then Bucky kisses her neck. "Doll...I'm sorry about...what you saw earlier...you know with -"
