Chapter 10 - Madripoor

As they head to their destination, a couple of Motorcyclists approach them and escort them to the area. Once they arrive, they get out of the car. Zemo, Bucky, and Sam were out and looked around. The sound of thunder rumbles in the air. They arrive in low town several minutes later, get out of the car, and Sam, Bucky, and Zemo enter the area. As they do, they notice people around them acting a certain way. Bucky looks around for Loki, Becca, and Sofia but doesn't see them. Instead, he pulls Zemo by the arm and says sternly, "Okay, I don't like this! Where are they?"

"Relax, they will be here," Zemo replied.

"I don't trust this at all," Sam whispered.

"Hey, where are the girls?" Loki asks as he approaches them from behind.

Sam, Bucky, and Zemo turn to face Loki. Sam asks with concern, "I thought that they were with you?"

"They told me that they had to use the restroom."

Zemo glances up, points behind Loki, and says, "Look, they're right there."

Sam, Bucky, and Loki look at Becca walking in her Black Swan outfit. And Sofia walked through the crowd in a sexy and beautiful party dress. Bucky and Loki thought in unison, "WOW!"

Sofia and Becca approach them. "Is everything okay?" asks Sofia.

"You look..." Sam replied slowly.

"Stunning," Loki complimented.

Bucky is speechless for a moment, and then he says softly, "Beautiful." Sofia smiles at Bucky.

Several minutes later, they then all walk inside Selby's bar. Zemo turns to the group and whispers, "Remember, stay in character, and everything will work out." A guard lets them in. "Here we are." Once inside the bar, the group can see that it is packed and vibrant with life. Zemo speaks to Bucky and Becca in Russian, "Ready to comply, Winter Soldier and Black Swan?"

Several people recognize Bucky, Becca, and Sofia as they walk through the crowd. One man whispers to his friend, "That's the Winter Soldier."

"And his sister, the Black Swan," said another.

As they get closer to the bar, Sofia overhears another man whispering to his date, "That's one of the Black Widows." When she heard that, Sofia was concerned but tried not to let it get to her.

They all enter the bar section, where the bartender says, "Hello, gentlemen. Ladies. Wasn't expecting you, Smiling Tiger."

"His plans changed," Zemo replied. "We have a business to do with Selby."

Someone leaves the bar as they cover their head. As they look around the room, Becca glances at Loki, mentally reminding him to act natural. Then she looks back at Zemo. Bucky glances at Sofia as she looks at the crowd slowly. Inside, his heart is racing, but he keeps it calm and collected. The bartender turns to Sam. "The usual?"

Sam nods at the bartender. Then he goes to make his drink. Sofia glances at Sam and then looks down as she starts to feel sick at what she sees the bartender is making. Sam is confused about the drink. The bartender pulls out a dead snake and cuts out pieces of its organs. Zemo sighs, "Ah. Smiling Tiger, your favorite."

"Oh no," Sofia thought to herself. She blinks several times once the drink is made as she feels sick to see the glass in Sam's hand. However, she cannot show it. Becca and Loki notice and glance at each other without looking concerned. Bucky also notices and wonders why Sofia looks sick because he knows she was trained for situations like this.

"I love these," commented Sam. The bartender watches him.

Zemo clinks their drinks together and says, "Cheers, Conrad."
