chapter seven:
house dayne
─────────────────DORNE SEEMED to have stolen the sun from the rest of the world most days. It had been a stark contrast from what the princess was used to. Her once pale skin now glowed from the four years being in the beautiful place of Dorne. The princess spent her mornings mostly the same. It included her sworn knight, Dravyn, lady in waiting Catryn, and Qyle Martell.
Adira Dayne, the lady of house Dayne, jested the dornishmen would believe the prince lived in their castle. Ever since meeting the princess and her entourage the Martell Prince could not stay way. The four of them finding all kinds of trouble around the country of Dorne. This morrow though, had been the most tranquil. Each of them sitting around a small table they had set outside to enjoy their morning supper. Aelanys savored the small moments she shared with her friends like this. All of them laughing so hard their bellies ached as they recovered from their wild night prior. "Cousin!" Ulyne had a fast pace toward the group.
"Care to join us dear cousin." The princess perked at the sound of her voice.
Though the laughter around the table as they turned to see the young girl's grave face. "Aelanys...I'm afraid there has been terrible news sent from your mother."

Aelanys' family sat in silence as her younger cousin Ulyne walked alongside her to the war room.
Ulyne took her seat next to her father, Luciyn and mother Zakya. Her older brother, Daltis, stood by the fireplace seeming lost in his own mind.
"Hm, lovely morrow is it not." The eldest Dayne, spoke striving the lighten the grey mood. Rhonyn grumbled next to his brother Luciyn. "Now it not the time for your lousy jests," Her fathers twin, Emos, rolled his eyes. Emos' lady wife, Sanah, gripped his hand to soothe her husband as best she could. "Lousy is what I hear you to be as a bedmate," Luciyn grinned devilishly taunting his younger brother.
Emos banged his hand onto the table staring down his oldest brother who seemed pleased to have gotten a reaction. "Enough!" Adira sighed fed up with the morning all too soon. "Astris come sit with us dear." The lady of the house called her daughter away from the balcony where she stood staring into the distance. Her piercing blue eyes looked empty as if her day dreaming had not stopped. Voriana helped her mother sit down in the chair beside her.
"I believe our grandmother means to have all the family at the table, cousin," Elric's voice came across demanding towards Daltis who was the eldest of all the children.
"Elric," His twin sister Emberli shook her head in disapproval as she nudged her brother's ribs.
"Daltis, join us my son," Zakya finally spoke thinking her son would've done so by now. It was not like him to be so lost in his thoughts. "Apologies." He cleared his throat seeming to snap out of his trance and joined the table.
