Ezra Bridger sped towards a small town. The town was named Tarkintown. He reached the town and climbed off his speeder and looked around. The town had been virtually destroyed. Ezra sighed sadly. Then he heard a speeder pull up behind him. Ezra turned around. His Master, Kanan Jarrus was on a second speeder. Kanan climbed off his speeder and walked over to Ezra. Ezra promptly flung his arms around Kanan's waist. Kanan wrapped his arms around Ezra and held him close to him. Ezra often hugged Kanan like this. Kanan let him. Kanan sat down on the ground with him. Kanan pulled Ezra up onto his lap and held him close to him. Ezra buried his head in Kanan's chest and said: "All I sense is evil." Kanan gently rubbed his back and held him close to him. Kanan had seen the horrors of war and the tyranny of the Empire. Ezra hadn't. In the short time that Kanan had known Ezra, Ezra had become like a son to him. Kanan remembered having a son named Ezra. Which explained the connection he'd felt when he first saw Ezra. Ezra was his biological son. Kanan looked down at Ezra. The boy was tucked into him. Kanan held him close to him and comforted him.
The older Jedi Knight held his son close to him. Ezra also looked exactly like Kanan. With brown hair and aquamarine blue eyes. Kanan silently vowed to be there for Ezra. Kanan said: "Ezra, you're my biological son." Ezra said: "I know. It wasn't exactly a big leap in logic. We look exactly alike. We also have a bond that goes deeper than that of a Master and Padawan. Can I call you Dad?" Kanan smiled softly and said: "Sure." Ezra snuggled up closer to him and said: "I love you, Dad." Kanan said: "I love you too, Son." Kanan held him tightly close to him. Ezra was curled up in his arms. Kanan said: "I love you so very much." Ezra buried his head in Kanan's chest tightly. Kanan held Ezra close to him.
