Then Kanan returned to the cockpit where Ezra was sitting at the controls. Kanan walked in. He saw Ezra looking out the window at the stars as they went by. He walked over and placed his hand on his shoulder and said: "Wanna talk about it?" Ezra said quietly: "I just feel so overwhelmed with all this responsibility with the rebellion sometimes." Kanan sat down beside him and wrapped his arms around Ezra and said: "I know you do. But I'm here now. I promise." Ezra leaned against Kanan and buried his head in his chest and listened to the steady beat of his heart and slowly calmed down. Kanan said: "I won't abandon you again when you need me. I promise." Ezra broke down and cried, feeling a little less overwhelmed knowing that Kanan was there to help shoulder the load. Kanan held Ezra close to him and laid his head on top of his and said: "No matter what happens. We're in this together. You and I. Father and Son." Ezra slowly calmed down but stayed there in Kanan's arms. He said: "thanks Dad." After a while he pulled away and pulled a lever back and dropped out of hyperspace and flew into Endor and landed not far from the Ewok village and lowered the ramp and stood and looked at Kanan and said: "Coming with?" Kanan said: "If you want me to." Ezra rolled his eyes and said: "Dad, would I have asked if I didn't want you to come with me? No, I wouldn't." Kanan said: "fair enough." Ezra grabbed his jacket from the back of the Pilot's seat and shrugged into his jacket as they walked. Father and Son walked out of the cockpit and walked down to the Cargo Hold and walked out. Ezra said: "You might want to watch your step. If you see a raw piece of meat, don't touch it. It's a cleverly concealed trap. The first mate from another rebel cell found that out the hard way." Kanan said: "Duly noted. I don't particularly feel like being someone's lunch. So I'll play it safe and follow you." Ezra said: "Good. Because I really don't want to have to negotiate with them." Suddenly they heard raised voices. Ezra said: "Kriff! That sounds a lot like Han and Chewbacca!" Ezra grabbed his blaster and took off running towards the voices. Kanan was right behind him grabbing his own blaster as he ran. The two Jedi Knights rounded a corner and stopped. Ezra said: "Hey! Let them go! They're friends of mine! You don't eat friends!" He raised his blaster and fired at the net. The shot severed the net clean through and the net fell to the ground. Ezra slid his blaster back in its holster and looked at the Ewoks and said sternly: "Shame on you. Put the kriffing spears away and apologize to them." The Ewoks did just that. Kanan slid his blaster back in its holster and said: "Wow. So those are the Ewoks that you were telling me about?" Ezra said: "Yep. They're cute but fierce at first." Then Ezra walked over to the two rebels from the other cell and said: "Are you okay?" Han said: "Yeah. Thanks Ezra." Ezra helped Han and Chewbacca to their feet. Han said: "So, are these little guys friends of yours?" Ezra said: "Yes, they are." He knelt down to where he was level with the Ewoks and said: "My friends, I need your help. Ezra rolled his eyes and ignited his lightsaber and fired at the Stormtroopers and deflected the shots as they came while shooting at the same time. Kanan and Han also fired at the Stormtroopers. Then they were joined by two siblings. The two siblings looked exactly like Anakin and Padme. (Anakin met his now grown up kids. Kinda a shocker for him.) Between the siblings and the three men, the Stormtroopers were effectively disposed of. Ezra deactivated his lightsaber and slid his blaster back in its holster and looked at the two siblings and said: "Thanks for the assist." The boy said: "I'm Luke Skywalker and this is my sister Leia Skywalker." Leia said: "we're from the same rebel cell as Han and Chewbacca. We heard that another rebel cell was here and decided to come and help." Luke said: "And who are you?" Ezra said: "My name is Ezra Jarrus and this is my Dad Kanan Jarrus." Fair point." Ezra looked at Han, Chewbacca, Luke, and Leia and said: "Look, if you'd like, you can come with us and stay on the Ghost for a while." Just then one of the Ewoks tugged on Ezra's pants to get his attention. Ezra looked down and knelt down and smiled and said: "Hey Wicket. How are you doing, buddy?" Wicket pointed to them and then pointed to the Ewok village excitedly. Ezra said: "Are you trying to say that you want us to stay in the Ewok village with you guys?" Wicket nodded. Ezra said: "Well, let's see what the others have to say." Then Ezra picked Wicket up and set him on his hip away from his blaster lightsaber hybrid. Then they walked back to the Ghost and walked up the ramp. They walked into the Common Room where everyone was gathered. Anakin said: "Is that one of the natives?" Ezra said: "His name is Wicket. He's one of the sneakier Ewoks. That's why I have him on the opposite side that my hybrid blaster is on. I don't particularly want him getting that and accidentally doing something with it. Ewoks are naturally curious creatures. They see something new, they're curious about it. Anyways, they want us to stay in the Ewok village with them. I told him that I would see what you guys had to say." Anakin said casually: "Well, I'm in. Besides, it'll be fun to try something new for a change." Ahsoka said: "Well, I'm in too." Sabine said: "So am I. But I'm leaving my armor here on the ship." Ezra said: "Your choice." Then Ezra handed Wicket over to Leia and walked to his and Kanan's room and walked in and packed a bag. Just then Kanan walked in and packed a bag as well. Ezra sat down on the bed and said: "the beds in the Ewok village are actually quite comfy. If it makes you feel any better." Kanan said: "It's been a long time since I've stayed in a village." Ezra said: "Same." Kanan said: "You are a amazing leader and I'm proud to be your Dad." Ezra said: "And I'm proud to be your Son. Always and forever."
