There were very few moments the President ever got scared, now was one of them. One of the reasons he hated his son-in-law was because Damon was a formidable contender.

The President knew what he was getting himself into when he threatened Damon. He expected a comeback but never of this magnitude. He couldn't tell how much his son-in-law knew, but if it was so much, then everything he ever worked for would be ruined.

"I don't know what you think you know, but you need to get out of my office," He said.

Damon sat down and leaned forward from his seat like he wanted to tell the President a secret, "Davis, I am not a man who wastes words, neither do I mince them. As scarce as they are with me, I mean every bit of them. So trust me when I tell you that this is not a courtesy visit. I am merely here to take back my pound of flesh."

He changed position, crossed his legs, and intertwined his fingers, "In the meantime, call off your dogs from Vermont, let them take the next flight out of the state. If any harm comes to Alex, you can kiss your presidency goodbye. There's no need to threaten you with your daughter because obviously, your status is more important to you. But if for some reason, you suddenly develop a grain of emotion for your daughter, then you'd never see her again.

Secondly, forget about my companies. They're still mine. Apparently, even your daughter didn't trust you enough and left a loophole for when you'd ever disappoint her. You did, and then she showed me those loopholes. They're still mine Davis, and you've lost. An epic loss.

Davis, I love America. I can't stand corrupt individuals let alone leaders. I believe in the greatness of this country and that's why every bone in my body wants me to take every piece of evidence to the Attorney General for you to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

But my dark side doesn't want that. My dark side wants to twist a knife in your gut and watch every emotion on your face as everything you hold dear in your life crumbles around you. That would give me satisfaction."

He pointed to the President and said, "That, that is the look I came here to see. To see the fear in your eyes knowing that this office cannot protect you from jail. You will be in the history books for bad, and not for good. And that you're just as vulnerable as anyone walking in the streets of Washington.

So pick a door. You either resign or remain. And I really wish you'd be greedy enough to take door number two so that you can be my bitch for as long as I want."

Damon sipped from his drink and stood, the president blocked his part abruptly.

"Why are you doing this?" The president said to his face.

Damon smirked, "How big are my balls now Davis? I guess they're bigger than yours." He buttoned his suit jacket.

"Have a great day Davis. Oops, sorry, I forgot I ruined your day already."

Damon walked to the door, "Have your secretary call mine with your decision. Either way, both decisions put a smile on my face."

Damon didn't wait to see the reaction of his father-in-law. If he had paid any attention, he'd have heard things crash in the office. He would have heard right because the President was venting his anger on the items on his table.

For one, if anyone had told him that he would be the shortest-serving president in the United States, he'd have laughed at their faces. If one had told him that his extracurricular activities would come to light, he'd have still laughed at their faces. He took precautions. Solid precautions that it would have taken layers upon layers to be pulled down before he was ever caught.

As he said, his son-in-law was a formidable contender. He shouldn't have let his guard down. He should have taken down Damon when he wanted to, but now it was too late. He had been caught. There was only one thing left to do.
