"Wally, shut up for once! You'll flirt with anything that has half a brain!" Artemis shouts angrily in the kitchen at the speedster at the table, wolfing down pancakes.
"that explains why I don't flirt with you," Wally retorts, piling on syrup and checking his phone, which gave out a small beep.
Ouch. That one had hurt. Artemis winces and Wally flashes her a dazzling I-just-burned-you-so-bad grin.
"who texts YOU?!" Artemis asks hastily, trying to change the subject. She goes over and looks over his shoulder at his phone.
"robin," Wally frowns, taking his phone away from the blonde archer's sight. "why? Want my number?"
"y'see, that would be flirting right there, kid genius." Artemis growls, moving away from the freckled redhead. Wally blushes bright red.
"Uhm, Rob texted me to be ready for a debriefing in exactly ten minutes. Which would be... Ten thirty." Artemis shrugs and thanks him before grabbing an apple for breakfast and leaving.
God, she made Wally so mad. He wanted to run over to her, slam her against the wall, kiss her and kill her at the same time. Ugh, did he seriously just say that? Wally bites back disgust at his thoughts and shakes his head to clear his thoughts. His phone jingles in his pocket, and Wally pulls it out instinctively.
"where the hell r u?" Dick's message reads.
"b there in a sec" Wally types as he sprints down the hallway to the debriefing room, and suddenly thumping into something... More like someONE. He spills out on the floor and thinks his head on the cold floor.
"watch it, kid clumsy!" Artemis growls, rubbing her head as she whirls around to face the flushed speedster.
"that hurt me a lot more than it hurt you," Wally grunts, and looks up at the blonde archer. Artemis sighs and reluctantly sticks out her hand to help him up. "you're helping me?" Wally asks incredibly, goggling at her outstretched hand.
Artemis frowns sourly and withdraws her hand, placing it on her hip. "well then, you can get up by yourself, Baywatch." she rolls her eyes and begins to walk away moodily. But Wally won't let her get away a second time.
He quickly gets up and super speed-dashes over to Artemis, knocking into her for the second time in one minute.
"Wally!" Artemis howls hoarsely. "watch where you're going, idiot, before I stick an arrow where you don't want it."
Wally says nothing as he grabs her arm and slams her against the wall, making her moan softly in pain. Even though strength wasn't Wally's strong point, he was still pretty darn strong. Stronger than Artemis, though Artemis didn't want to admit it.
"get-" Artemis claws at him, her voice muffled by his hand clamping over her mouth. "OFF, west! What are you doing?!" Wally smiles slyly as Artemis stops struggling.
"something I probably have done a long time ago." Wally grins, and removes his hand from her mouth, replacing it with his lips. Artemis resists, but slowly stops moving as Wally mashes their lips together.
"W-Wally," Artemis gasps as they break away for air after a long time. "what the hell was that for?"
"oh, I dunno," Wally smiles coyly. "Just 'cause. Do I need a reason?" He tips her chin up with his finger as she grins.
"no," she beams boldly.
"I didn't think so," Wally shrugs, and begins to lean in for another kiss when they hear someone clearing their throat behind them. Wally releases Artemis and backs away. They whip around wildly, just to see the little ninja boy standing before them, smiling evilly and holding a camera tauntingly.
"oh, heyyy, Wally," Robin laughs. "I took some great pictures. Care to see?" Wally gives him a death-glare worthy of giving the bat-glare a run for its money.
"Robin." Wally growls. "You did NOT just see that, did you?"
"oh, I did," Rob smiles sweetly.
"Robin. You are so dead." Wally fumes, as the blonde archer taps his shoulder thoughtfully.
"I'm going to go get my bow, 'Kay?" Artemis explains. "So we can, uh, DEAL with bird-boy later." She walks off, leaving Wally and robin alone in the corridor.
"robin." Wally tried calmly first. "hand it over, and nobody gets an arrow through their neck. Okay?" robin smiles and dashes away towards the debriefing room.
Wally sprints after him, screaming: "I have super-speed, you idiot! Get back here!"
