Everything done in the dark eventually comes to light. You might be asking what does that have to do with this subject, "Talk About It". Well I'll tell you, it's just like running or hiding in the dark because you're either too ashamed or the pain hurts so much that you rather bottle the pain inside. Don't you know that just makes matters worse. While you're bottling the pain inside it's still there, you're still hurting, you're still in pain, you're also leaving those burdens on your back and not releasing it. I wanna share a few verses from this song I really love which says:
We can only see change when we accept who we are
Try to run from the shame, and you will never get far
Don't you bottle the pain and live your life in the dark

Beautiful right. So yes you're meant to shine as bright as a star. Depression does not come from God but the enemy himself and when we hold onto those things the pain stays there. Talk to someone about your troubles whether it's a trusted family, friend, and/or spouse or even seek therapy or counseling, and please don't let anyone tell you or make you believe that their is something wrong with seeing a therapist or that you're crazy or somethings wrong with you. There is nothing wrong with talking about it, let it out you'll feel a whole weight lifted off of your shoulder. Most importantly throw all your anxiety on God because he loves you and he's always listening. Will you talk about it? Will you let it out? Whether you need to cry, scream, need a hug, someone to just listen to without judgement as long as you're not inflicting self harm or harm to others go for it and you'll see the difference.
