I went inside of the house, up the stairs and into my bedroom; After a whole school day I got exhausted. Flopping down on my bed, my body sunk into the mattress; Eyes closed, and the breeze of reused air blowing on my face from my white fan.
My stepmom walked into my room without knocking on the door first.
"Hey, how was school?" She had her arms crossed as she was leaning against the door frame. "It was alright but exhausting." I mumbled, my eyes now awake. I shuffled on my bed, picking myself up.
"Anything fun, at all?" I had my chin resting on the palm of my hand; sitting on the edge of my bed. "No, not really. I heard there's a carnival that's an hour away from here." She nodded her head, "Sounds great, how about we go there altogether?" She had her arms crossed as she was leaning against the door frame. "Uhm- sounds great." I shrugged, she nodded once more before going back downstairs.
I laid back down on my bed, getting more comfortable than before. I heard stepmom talking to dad. Their voices echoed throughout the house, making the house more loud.

"Ted, there is a carnival that's about an hour away. I think we should all go there, it might be fun." Ted yawned loudly before he sat up from the couch; Stretching. "Oh yeah? What carnival is it?" He asked, his voice sounded husky. Clarence shrugged, "Not sure, but it might be fun and it would be good, so we could get closer to Mary and Edson."
Ted looked up at Clarence, "Should we?" Clarence nodded her head, Ted stayed silent for a couple of seconds. "Alright, we will go. But when?" He rubbed his eyes, "Hmm.." She hummed, "How about.. Tomorrow?" She shrugged, Ted nodded his head. "Okay, tomorrow, carnival, an hour away. Goodnight." Ted plopped back down on the couch, his eyes glued shut.
Clarence sighed, walking back upstairs to go into the bedroom. She laid on the bed, grabbing a book that was on the bedside table, that was on her side of the bed. The side where Ashlyn used to sleep at. She opened the book where a book mark was at, she started reading back at the top as she doesn't remember where she left off specifically.
She yawned here and there, she would sometimes look at her phone, searching something up; definitions of words that she had never heard of or never seen used by other people.

I laid there in bed for what seemed like 10 minutes. I let out a sigh before getting out of bed. I rubbed my eyes, yawning for a short period of time; feeling my jaw collide with my neck. Went on my pc and played some single player games.
The type of games I enjoy playing are mostly the horror kinds or the ones that really get the adrenaline out of you. But today felt different, today seemed like the perfect day to play a game that's all about survival, similar to real life but more things that real life dont have. "The flowing winds of survival" is a free survival game that I found on youtube, I saw someone play this a little while back and it looked fun to play so here I am. Playing this game, having nothing better to do. I could be studying for future tests that few of my teachers brought up. One of my friends even sent me a text saying that they will have a quiz next week.
Which sucks for them, not for me. I don't have to do anything that is school related. Dad came into the room, his head mostly peeking in through the doorway.
"Hey buddy, you will be going back to school this sunday. Your sister is going to be checked out, from the hospital, this friday."
I nodded my head, not paying much attention. "Are you even listening to me?" He huffed, he grabbed my headphones and put them on the desk.
"What dad?" I grabbed my headphones, putting it back on, but around my neck this time.
"Your sister is going to be checked out of the hospital this friday. Meaning that you will be going back to school this sunday." He repeated himself, talking a bit slowly in order to sound more clear.
"Why this sunday? Why not next saturday?" I shrugged, "Simply because me and your mom don't want you to miss any more school. You're behind on school and it would be best if you catch up with everyone else that goes to your school." His arms were crossed, leaning on the doorframe.
I nodded, rolling my eyes. "Alright, fine. Fine. Can I play my game now?" I pointed to my pc, the screen paused.
"Yes, you can continue your game." He stopped leaning against the doorframe, hearing his footsteps become less clear and more silent.
I put my headphones back on my head, the sound from the game becoming muffled. I took them off and stared at them stupidly. "What?" I mumbled, I rotated my headphones here and there.
"Can you plug in your headphones?" Stepmom stepped inside my room, "I can't really focus on my reading." She showed me her book.
"Oh, yeah. Sure, I can do that." My brain felt puzzled, I felt my cheeks grow red as I was embarrassed from my stupidity.
"Thanks." She nodded as she smiled awkwardly. Stepping out of the room and back into the bedroom to continue reading her book. I plugged in my headphones, I didn't feel like playing in more especially not when I've embarrassed myself.
I turned off my pc after saving my current progress on the game. Unplugged my headphones, putting them to the side. After I stood from the desk I went towards my bed to go on my phone. I eventually cooled down; no longer embarrassed, being distracted from social media.
There wasn't much that was going on online but there were a whole bunch of memes here and there on twitter. Even found some funny videos on some other apps, tik tok for example. I had most of the social media apps; Tik Tok, Insta, Twitter, Snapchat, and Facebook. It's quite a bit especially for me. Most of these apps have similar stuff on them but it's always good to get updated on different events.
I actually found this one account on twitter called "Ways To have fun in life" Their description: bored and tired of doing the same things to the point of not having anything to do at all? Then you have found me, I give tips and ideas that will 100% make your life much funner and better. Follow these rules and you are welcome to be here and to follow me.
The rules were not complicated nor were they hard to follow. They were just some silly, common rules that people would use for some things.
Rules: be nice to other followers, dont reply to hate comments and just report them, don't question some ideas/tips. Only comment when you have any idea or would like to add a tip.
The rules seemed a bit- weird, but it's not the worst either. They were decent and I don't really leave comments unless I really feel like it. Some of them were rules that nobody applied once before, which makes this user a bit unique and different and that is mostly a good thing. I actually started following them a little while back. The ideas were original and more fun to actually try out.
I looked at some of the memes that were posted from the user: they were quite relatable and you can easily understand what they mean. There were even some images that were labeled as "TIPS" . They were short but worth reading, they don't really seem like tips at all if you think about it. All they say is: Be yourself. Don't fight yourself mentally, fight others. Do what makes you feel yourself. Sometimes faking your emotions is necessary. You're not an insect, you're a human being who feels small. Etc, it was a bit weird also but somehow comforting.
There were no comments about the post even though it says that there's 253 comments. If there were comments, they must've gotten deleted from the owner of this account. But some posts and comments that were related to tips and ideas; long lists that almost seem like paragraphs, some letters of some words were capitalized, there were even a few numbers as well; Bunch of (.) and (-) in very few of the comments.
The whole thing was weird but interesting, a bit unique as well. Both followers and the owner of the user were unique.
I kept scrolling through the users page, some tips that said the same thing, ideas were displayed as images as well. Nothing different, there were few new ideas and tips that were posted the other day. I never bothered checking that time because of things or simply because I wasn't really interested in it at the time.
The newest tips/ideas were simple but were full of details. One of the ideas says: Read a book while it's upside down and be upside down on any piece of furniture while reading an upside down book.
It was new to the point of not thinking of anyone actually doing this out in general. All the other ideas that has been reposted more than one time usually goes: Jump and spin at the same time while counting to 100 in a different language *Only people who speaks more than one language can do this*
These ideas are childish and pointless, but I have heard that if you do these types of things you will be sent a picture or video of you actually doing it. Well that's just a silly rumor that the class clown came up with when he first looked at my phone while I wasn't paying attention.
He knew about the user, he even had friends who knew about it. They all followed this person, but he said that one of his friends got sent a strange video of actually doing one of the things that was posted on the account. Saying that he went missing a few months later, apparently this happened last year. I put his words off to the side because I didn't believe him and I still don't. It just doesn't make much sense to me, it wasn't much of a coincidence, but it must be one. Haven't really talked to the class clown much after he told me all this information. It's ridiculous honestly, rumors and crazy talk are similar if you word it the right way. And the class clown did word it the right way, he's called the class clown simply because nobody takes him seriously. Which makes sense anyway.
I eventually stopped scrolling through the users page and turned off my phone. I put my phone off to the side to lay down on my back with my hands crushed by my head. I stared off into the abyss until my stepmom came in.
"I will be going to the grocery store to get some ingredients for dinner, want to come with?" She was standing in the doorway, her hand fiddling with the door handle.
"Uhm sure, I got nothing else to do anyway." I sat up, shrugging my shoulders.
She nodded her head, "Alright, great. Get ready and meet me downstairs." She left the doorway empty, walking back downstairs. I sighed, getting dressed more properly before going downstairs.
