Oh my god, I thought I was gonna die but it turns out that it was just a passing police officer who was following me inside of the amusement park. And of course I got kicked out of the park, thankfully they were nice enough to only give me a warning. But the part where there was heavy breathing on the phone call was a bit creepy. Mistaking the officer for that man was a mistake but what were they holding? I couldn't get a good look of the officer since he left soon after saying that I shouldn't be here; his voice was raspy and deep which is enough for me to describe him. Or— well hardly. I could tell that he has a large build, heavy footsteps, and a raspy voice. Which is somehow similar to the man with the melted skin, Or— the man whose face is distorted. Calling him the man with the melted skin is a bit childish especially when I'm a grown up. It makes sense for Edson to describe him that way though. I guess you can just get an easier picture of that man.
Right now I'm currently in the car, at the parking lot of the amusement park. The officer who warned me hasn't left yet either. They are currently in the police car in the corner of the parking lot. If he could leave then I could go back inside. But at this point I might just go back home, texting Edson that I won't be home was pointless. I put the car out of park and started to drive away. I soon noticed that I was being followed by the officer from the amusement park. The hell? I cursed under my breath as I was being pulled over. I put the car in park, not knowing what I did wrong.
The officer got out of the car, walking towards my car. Once they were next to the car, they tapped on the car window making me jump. I rolled down the window and they soon got close, his face coming near along with a flashlight. The flashlight flashed on one of my eyes making me go half blind.
"You forgot this." He said, showing a folded piece of paper.
"Oh, I must have." I smiled awkwardly.
He handed me the paper along with the same smile that I gave him.
"You have a good day ma'am." He said, tapping the top of the car with the hand that was holding the flashlight. The flashlight flashed on the officer's face; his face looked distorted, melted even. He walked away and went back to the police vehicle.
I was dumbfounded, unfolding the note.Dear Mrs. Francis,
Thank you for visiting my house as your visit is very much welcome. And as you didn't expect, you're Mr. Hidden or shall I say Mrs. Hidden, soon to be Ms Hidden. It was nice to hear your voice before your accident. I hope you like downfalls and crashing. Slashing one of your tires is one of the tricks that I had to do. To make sure you don't get far. I do know that it wasn't the greatest idea but I hope you're not so mad at me for doing such a thing. My intrusiveness got the better of me. Did you like my outfit by the way? I happened to come across a police officer before going back home. Even my acting was amazing, maybe I should become an actor. But this note shall end here for tonight Ms Hidden. The treasure hunt shall end here sadly.
Sincerely,
The man with the melted skinShit, shit, shit, SHIT. FUCK.
I got out of the car along with a flashlight to check the tires. Turns out that he really did slash one of them. Now what? Do I wait or do I walk on foot? He might want me to walk on foot so he could get the opportunity to kidnap me. At this point I'm at a dead end of this madness. Wait, he is still here. I could see his silhouette from inside the car. What the hell is he waiting for? I asked myself. I gulped loudly as I started to feel uneasy. I went back inside of the car, making sure all the windows and doors were locked. I climbed in the backseat, laying down so my presence was less noticeable.
I know it's pointless but it's the least I could do.
