"A flashy quirk for a future hero, it's perfect." The girl watched with astonishment as she stood along with her classmates.

Her best friend's quirk manifested, small bright pops sounded off from his hands. Their teachers kept speaking under the kids' excitement, but she was happier than the rest.

"Woah, Kacchan! That's so pretty!" She squeaked against the sea of voices as Katsuki's eyes darted to her face.

"Hey! It's not pretty! Don't give me that girly crap," he teases, a smug smirk on his face at her frown.

"Just because I'm a girl doesn't mean anything! You're so mean!" Y/n huffs at him before crossing her arms and turning away.

"Sure, whatever you say, Tiny."

"I'm not tiny!"

Once the class ended, little Y/n followed her friends to a place they said would be fun.

The entrance to the creek had two signs, one said "No trespassing", and the other "You can't go in there!

"Come on, let's fight bad guys!" Bakugo eagerly ordered, pointing a finger into the foreboding area.

"I don't think this is-" (Y/n) started to speak soft and scared before Deku yelled beside her.

"Yeah!" He was just as nervous.

He wasn't very convincing...

As Kacchan marched forward, her feet moved automatically while trailing close behind. The big trees ahead towered and almost scraped against the sky.

Maybe this won't be so bad?

"Forward march and here we go, members of the agency Bakugo!" The other kids were ahead a few steps, crossing over a log in the path. Her heart pounded against her chest, but she gulped down the fear.

One foot cautiously stepped on the log, the other pushing up against the grass. Y/n stretches her arms out for balance and plants her lower foot onto the log.

"This isn't so bad after all," she speaks softly. A small grin grows as she catches up, Izuku's yellow shirt right ahead of her now.

"Sound off-" she takes a breath to keep playing along, then hears Kacchan yell as he loses footing, falling down and into the creek.

"Kacchan!" She yells, the other boys just as worried. Like the boys, she kneels down on her hands and knees. She leans forward, trying to see where her friend fell before a harsh shove sends her forward.

A gasp leaves her mouth, the log growing farther away.

Why did they push me?

At the feeling of cold water, her mouth closes tight before going under. The impact hurt, but not as bad as her burning nose. Standing up, she coughs on stray drops of water, then shakes it from her hair.

"Hurry and get back up here!" Their friends yelled down and Y/n couldn't help but wipe her face.

"Sure! Just give us one second!" Kacchan yells back up to their friends, her eyes opening to see him beside her.

"Kacchan, are you okay?" She wrings out her hair once more, head tilted to see.

"Yeah, I'm-" He starts to speak with a smile before he notices Deku beside Y/n.

"Are you alright?" She hears Deku, then looks up to see a hand stretched out to her. "Are you hurt?" He continued, and she almost reached up to take it before Katsuki smacked it away.
