The teen panted softly, anxiety wracking her brain about Katsuki.
Where did that villain take him? Is he okay? Did he beat him?
Y/n's phone pings and she frantically looks for it, finding it on the bed. A news article pops up with live footage.
"This is the sludge villain from earlier today. He appears to have a young boy captive as the pro-heroes try to rescue him." The camera pans from the reporter to the scene below, Katuski's tufts of blond hair being the first indicator.
"Come on.." She watches the screen intently, none of the pros stepping a foot toward her friend. "Why aren't they helping him?" She whispers against the silence.
Mount Lady tries to get to the scene and complains of the street being too small. Kamui Woods holds up bystanders while eyeing the fire around Katsuki and the villain. A firefighter-themed hero is creating a water barrier to keep people far away, and another hero requests backup.
"Why are they all so useless?" Y/n grows angry, throwing her phone against the wall in rage.
"No, no, no, crap." She rushes to pick it up, gasping at the cracked screen protector.
"..man.." She sighs, setting the phone down on her bedside desk and opening a drawer. Grabbing a new protector, she takes the old one off, tossing it into the trash. Afterward, she puts a new one on and returns to the news.
She sees Deku rushing in to save Katsuki, throwing his school bag at the villain to give the blond room to breathe. She felt her heart stop at his deep breath.
"That could've been me." She thinks, remembering how he harshly shoved her away before being attacked. Absentmindedly, her hand squeezed her chest, right above the heart.
The opposite hand raised to her mouth, covering it as she saw the villain recover. Both boys were now in jeopardy if this villain made a sudden move.
"Get out of there, Midoriya!" She whisper-yells against the silence. Her heart pounded in her ears as she kept watching.
Then suddenly, the villain gets hit with so much force that all three people are separated. All Might had a hold of both boys, having dealt with the villain. His punch was so powerful that it began to rain.
"His punch changed the weather?" She gasped out, feeling as if she could finally breathe. Her hand didn't leave her chest, though the other reached for the phone. She quickly grabbed it and got up from the bed, racing to the front door.
The television was on in the living room as she stopped, her parents having watched the news as well.
"Isn't that boy your friend?" Her mother spoke first, a little worried for the blond.
"Yes, and I'd like to go and check on him. If we don't have any plans." She talks softly, not wanting to anger them.
"Go ahead. Be back before dark." Her mother nods, her father having no additional words.
"Thank you." She bows before going to the front door. Making sure to grab a house key, she slips on her outside shoes and pockets her phone. Closing the door softly, she locks it and then takes a breath.
