I was walking my dog Sherlock through the park when Sherlock started to pull forward, I thought this was a little weird, but then again could just be a squirrel, that was until I saw a small dog running toward me with it lead trailing behind it but no owner, once the small dog reached me and Sherlock it stopped while the dog was busy sniffing Sherlock, I grabbed its lead and that's when I hear "SIDNEY, WHERE ARE YOU?" I look up to see a man that was about 5'11-6'1, Dark Brown Hair, Thick Black Glasses and seemed to be wearing a Hawaiian shirt under a leather jacket, paired with some jeans once I saw him my face went a little red because to me, he's one of the most attractive guys I've ever seen, "oh thank god," the man says as he jogs over "Is this your dog?" I ask him "yeah, she pulled a little too hard, so I accidently let the lead go, and thank you so much for grabbing her," he says as I hand him the lead "no problem, it's funny actual I've never seen Sherlock here play with another dog so calmly," I say laughing a little "well if that's the case maybe we should set up a little playdate, so the dogs can play and we can have a little date, only if you want to that is," I was a little taken aback from how confidant he was being but it would be a good way for Sherlock to socialise with another dog and he did seem nice so I guess it would be fun, "yeah that sound fun, but I would like to know your name," I answer "oh of course, Richie Tozier is my name and doing voices is my game," he says in an oh so obvious fake British accent as he taking my free hand in his and kissing the back of it , I blush and laugh at his actions, "nice to meet you Richie, I'm Y/n Y/l," I say "well then my darling Y/n I should probably give you my number, right," he say giving me a smile, I nod and fish my phone out of my pocket, unlocking it, going into my contacts, then tapping add contact and handing it to Richie as he hands me his, I input my number and name clicking save and handing it back and he does the same, "I'll message you later so we can arrange a play date for these two," Richie say gesturing towards the two dogs "I look forward to it," I say giving him a small smile, "Well I hate leave you with out my presence but sadly I must depart but fret not my dear I will be back," Richie does his best British accent and doing a very dramatic bow as he grabs my hand kissing the back of it, making me laugh, once Richie walks far enough he turns around and waves once I wave back he smiles and walks around the corner.
After a couple of weeks texting and calling each other both me and Richie agreed to meet up at a cafe then go for a walk with the dogs. I walk towards the cafe with Sherlock, I was practically shitting myself for 2 reasons, the first one was I haven't been on a date in a while, the second was because Richie seemed like a really fun person, and I didn't want to mess it up, as I got closer to the cafe, I could see Richie and Sidney sitting at a table outside, "well good to see you again handsome," Richie says as I and Sherlock get to the table "and you don't look too bad yourself Mr Tozier," I laugh a little as I sit down opposite him then I feel something nug my leg I look down to see Sidney pawing my leg extend my hand down and pet her "hello to you too Sidney," then I look up to see Richie smiling "what you smiling at mister?" I ask, "I can't help it when my date is the most beautiful man I have ever seen," I go completely red, "well um have you ordered yet," I ask "not yet I was waiting for you," he says giving me sincere smile "oh thank you Richie," I say "I mean it would be rude if I didn't wait for you, anyway since I'm the one who's is taking you on a date so what would you like," he asks "oh no you don't have to," I say "no no, I'm the one who asked you out I'll pay," he insists "all right if you insist, I'll have a (drink of choice) and a (cake or pastry of choice) please," I ask "I won't be a minute my darling," Richie says taking my hand and kissing the back of my hand, then petting Sidney and Sherlock on the head and walking inside.
After a couple of minutes Richie comes out with our ordered, he set them down on the table and he sits down, I grab my drink and take a sip "so Y/n what do you do for work?" Richie pipes up "oh I'm a dog groomer, what about you what does the grate Richie Tozier do?" I ask, "oh well-"he starts but is cut of "excuse me are you, Richie Tozier?" I look to see who cut him of it was a young boy about 10 or 11 standing there looking at Richie "that's me, how can I help you little guy?" Richie asks, "well I just wanted to say that I was that I'm a big fan and could I have a photo and an autograph if that okay," the boy says, "of course you can my guy," Richie say giving the kid a smile "would you like me to take the photo for you?" I ask, "really? thank you," the kid say handing me his phone, him and Richie do a little pose and I take the picture and hand the phone back as Richie signs the kid's book, "thank you so much it was so cool meeting you," the kid says giving us a wave "It was grate meeting you too," Richie says wave as the kid walks away, "so you famous or something?" I ask after taking another sip of my drink, "I'm a comedian actual," he says "well how lucky am, I do like a man with a sense of humour," I say grabbing Richie's hand under the table, "well if that's the case I must be the lucky one then," he says giving me a goofy smile, "well Mr Y/l I think this is the start of something special," Richie says "as do I Mr Tozier," I say giving him a soft smile.
The say dogs are a man's best friend but apparently, they can be man's best wing man.
